I have not had much luck with the garmin mounts I have tired. The suction cups fall off the windshield and the beanbag type slid off the dash. I’ve stayed away from a vent mounted holder because I was afraid of damaging the vent. I like this one because you don’t force it on the vent. I’ve used it acouple of time with good results. Most use to date has been highway driving. I curious to see how the holds up on gravel or dirt roads.

It's a good, simple design, and it was the lowest-priced of the vent-mounts I saw. I can't comment on packaging because it came with another, larger product. I will suggest that--at least if you own a Garmin 51 and a Chrysler van --you attach the product to the GPS before attaching it to the vent blade. Mine took quite a bit of force to attach to the Garmin, and I wondered if attaching as described in the instructions would've broken the blade. But it was easy to install my way, it held its place...let's see what else? Oh yes: 24 month warranty. I'd buy it again.

I bought this for a Miata with small round dash vents and this was small enough to hold without falling out. The fitting for my GPS adapter fit perfectly. So far I am very satisfied with this product.

Simple and well made. I generally avoid mounting any devices to my vehicle's vent but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product. This mount attaches to the vent securely and easily. I have used different, more expensive and bulkier types of mounts in the past for my Garmin Nuvi 44LM, and this mount surpasses them all.

I had a different type originally. It kept falling off because of the weight of the GPS. This one holds better and was a few dollars less expensive. I'm very happy with this little gadget. I bought another one for my other car.

Will only hold small sized Garmin and only on Horizontal vents. Rather than return the mount I plan on cutting off the ball mount and mounting it to a different style of base ( mountable to a mirror.

This little gadget has worked out great. I've used it a couple months with no issues. This vent clip holds my GPS in a perfect position to glance at quickly and safely while driving.

Used item for my Garmin, attached directly to air vent in car. Just travelled 8,400 klms and no issues with vibrations or loosening up and falling out.

We had many problems with the suction mount supplied with our Garmin GPS because on warm to hot days the supplied suction mount let go and the GPS ended up on the floor of our carI did not want to find the screen smashed so after browsing online I found these Air Vent HoldersI was sceptical to start with but duly attached the mount to the GPS and then placed the Air Vent Holder in a good visible position and I am very pleased to say the GPS has not fallen off once 🙂

Bought an older mini and tried the windscreen mount but found it blocked my view too much in this tiny car. This was a brilliant solution as the GPS now sits in front of a pillar, so no visibility is lost. Very happy, thankyou

Fits the GPS well but hard to get it to stay firmly in place on my car's (Mazda 3) vent.
