As an online teacher, it is very important for me to have good lighting. While I have mastered my setup at home, spending time visiting my family while still trying to teach proved that I was going to need to make some adjustments or settle for having an orange tint and looking like an oompa loompa while I teaching for the remainder of my visit. I had brought a smaller travel white light that another teacher had recommended, but honestly, I didn't really see much of a difference. I decided to look into ringlights and ultimately chose this one because I felt it would be a great size for when I was traveling, and the price seemed reasonable. When it arrived, I was initially disappointed that I couldn't find any instructions, however after pulling everything out, I quickly determined that everything was very self-explanatory. In fact, I honestly probably assembled it in less than thirty seconds. I love that there are three settings (a yellow setting for if you want dim lighting, a medium white light and a full bright light). You can also adjust the brightness of each setting, which is an added perk. I teach using the full bright light setting and it has greatly improved my situation. I am no longer having to readjust my lights, camera, or screen while I am teaching and I love how compact and easy it is to pack up and take with me. It is definitely ideal for those of you who teach on the road or while traveling. I may even buy a second one at some point just to have a backup. I definitely plan on using this whenever I am teaching out of town and highly recommend it. The Ring Light tripod and light provides enough light to highlight you in front of your computer. I liked the different light settings that allow to change your skin tone to match how you really look, depending on the time of day. It is easy to use. As you can see from the first 3 picturesPicture -1: how bright the light can be (though it can be made dimmer or brighter depending on your needs}.Picture 2: This is what I look like without the light on at all. That being said, this one did not work for my purposes.Picture 3: This is what I look like without my glasses on.Be that as it may, this device did not work for me. Things to be aware of: Because of the small tripod, you really can’t place this behind any big computer or laptop screen. The screens block the light. Putting the light off to the side is a workaround, however that leaves your face shadowed on one side. I discovered that this does work well with an iPad because of it’s smaller screen. Since my iPad does not have a USB port, I would either use a plug in charger or battery charger, with a USB port separate from the tripod. Android users may have a different way to use it. I’m not familiar with those.The second thing that was the major reason this work for me is that I wear glasses. As you can see in Picture 4, the reflection of the light off of your glasses gives you an alien appearance. I tried moving the light many different ways, from side to side, and even raising it on a platform, but couldn’t get rid of the glowing ring eyes in my Zoom meeting video.Because of these reasons I could not use this device, even though it worked well. I would recommend it for those of you that want to highlight themselves on smaller devices and if you don’t wear glasses. I’m sure as a makeup light it would be fine.

The media could not be loaded.  Can't speak for the longevity of the product as I just received it, but I was genuinely shocked by how bright it is. Easy to use stands with multiple sections to stop at to get specific heights. Easy to put together. Clear buttons. The light is a hard plastic which is nice for travel purposes. My iPhone 11 with a military grade case fit in the phone stand piece, but it was a bit difficult to get it in and out, but it was definitely secure in there and the velvet backing is a nice touch to protect the phone. Phone can be put horizontally or vertically.I do want to disclaim that I was given a randomly selected Amazon credit-paid product review request (in other words, I review the product and they will gift me Amazon credit) from this company, however, the product is genuinely good, the company did not ask for a positive review just a general review of the product and my experience, and I am really happy with it especially for the price. My house is very dark and filled with a lot of warm lights so it is very difficult to do makeup and take good photos which is what I primarily bought this for. Definitely recommend as someone that has been using her iPhone flashlight for makeup light for the past 4 years! I also really appreciate the fact that it is USB enabled because I have a mirror with lights on it that is battery powered and just drains the batteries instantly and stays bright for about two or three uses and I am very limited on outlet plugs so the USB enabled feature is really great for me personally.

You get a table top stand and a table top light. That's great. But it's kinda cheapy feeling plastic and the phone grip is very hard to use/clip. You have to man handle the stretch and while doing that manage to get your phone in. Eh. Also the feet of the stand are wonky - don't adjust. But do close up for storage really easily. There is a switch wired into the light - you can change the brightness (about 4 different levels) and the warm or whiteness (again, about 4 choices). It is working right now... but I am going to look as some other options.
