Great shoe, terrible insole!
Purchased for restaurant and brewery and would purchase again. Slip resistance is great. When on highly slick floors with oil you will still slip some, but FAR LESS than regular shoes or other brands of non-slip shoes. Food does not get stuck to the tread like traditional non-slip. It seems to fall out easily, I love this as I don't worry I'm tracking all the garbage and chemicals home with me. Waterproofing is not as promised. As it's a mesh toe box this does not surprise me, but I wish it was as promised. Insole is terrible. As a man of 250lb they held up for about five days then blew out. Even though they blew out they were still more comfortable than most generic insoles in work shoes. I rate the shoe a 5 and the insole a 2.I would recommend getting these, and if you're a smaller person the insoles should be great. If you're large, definitely get better insoles. I'm testing out the a few different ones, starting with some Dr. Scholls HD support.

the front is peeling really bad. they are just falling apart
AWFULL! do not buy these. I've had them for 2 months. i work in them 3 days a week and they are already destroyed. The bottoms of the shoes are ripping up. the front is peeling really bad. they are just falling apart. 70 bucks for 2 months is insane. i want my money back.

A must for anyone in the food industry.
I've been in the food industry for 20 years and have tried many different "chef" shoes. These are by far the best I've had. This is my third pair. I wore the last pair nearly a year and a half before they finally fell apart and that's me being a full time employee being in my feet all day at work (a year and a half is a VERY long time in the food world when it comes to shoes). Even then they were still very slip resistent. They are quite comfortable and very slip resistent and the sued version is water proof as promised.I only have two negatives. The shoe laces tend to come untied easily and have to tie them in double knots. Also the memory foam insule, while very comfortable at first, doesn't last long for a bigger guy like myself (6'4" 240lbs). But wen then they are far more comfortable than any other shoe I have tried.

Chef's beware 1st pair was good, second pair caused excruciating pain
I ordered my first pair of these shoes about a year ago and absolutely loved them. I loved them so much that I ordered a second pair. Shortly after buying the second pair I started experiencing the worst feet and leg pain that I have ever had in 20 years working in restaurants. I bought insoles to try and fix the problem, and lived with the pain for another month. It got to the point that I could barely walk after working a ten hour shift and went straight to bed just to relieve the pain I was experiencing. I started to wonder if something was physically wrong with my feet and almost went to see a doctor. I switched back to a much older pair of shoes I had hanging around and the pain has completely gone away. Like I said the first pair was a dream on my feet, and loved them so much that I got the second pair. Maybe I got a bad pair or maybe they changed something since my first order, but I will not be buying a third pair.

Not for cooks
I really wanted to like this shoe. I ordered a size 10 and it was too large. Size 9 1/2 was too small. I wore it anyway. I read that it was water resistant, but the first time I spilled hot water on it, it quickly penetrated and started burning my foot. These are not appropriate shoes for a cook. The slip resistance is good and I liked the styling, but they were uncomfortable and unsafe. They may be fine for front of the house or an amateur cook, but not a professional. They are mesh fabric so they are hard to clean up after splatter and spills. Emeril may endorse these shoes, but he never wore them in a kitchen. Shop for something else, like Red Wings.

BAM!!
The perfect shoe for bartending long hours. Finally after my long search for the perfect shoe I now swear by these. After two weeks of wearing this my legs ,knees and back arnt ready to disown me after every shift. As a 40 year old bartender with 21 years behind the pine ive tried multiple shoes over the years. These are by far the best.Only complaint is they are not as waterproof as I had hoped. I have the mesh top ones so maybe the other style is better at keeping water out. But they are water resistant. My feet arnt soaked at the end of the night. Slip resistance is better than most but can be a little slidy through a puddle of grenadine. (Found this out last night.lol)Over all just like my bar key I've had for 18 years I'll never work another shift without these shoes.

Oil and water-slip resistance
I had to return a pair of Sketchers Work shoes because they were on slip with a tiny bit of water on the ground, but with a lot of water or any amount of oil they were like ice skates. These Emmeril Lagassee shoes are perfect. The non slip effect is spot on. I didn’t do a lot of searching for upper material before buying, I was only focused on the non slip effectiveness. I would prefer a solid piece of leather upper instead of mesh, I’ll look for that for my next pair, will definitely stay in this brand for the future.

The best non slip shoes my husband has ever owned
These are amazing shoes! Very comfortable and are the longest working shoes my husband has ever owned. We used to order shoes for crews but they never lasted more than three months and wore out fast. But when I got him these shoes he has been able to keep them good for over 8 months now which is a really good run for him. They fit really good and are true to size, are really comfortable and are really good non slip. He has problems with his feet so shoes are hard to find for him that work well, for his long 12 hour shifts. So if your looking for a great pair of non slip work shoes and are on your feet all day, these are the shoes to buy!

Not so good..
I bought these shoes because i work with my feet for 8hrs. I was expecting that my feet won't be so sore after a long day at work. It didn't meet my expectations because i have plantar fascitiis, i thought these shoes will improve my pain. Kind of frustrated so i would not use these shoes anymore. Though they have a very good promotion, didn't work for me.
