happy with them so far
Its really stiff & I like I'm using something natural to clean and it won't scratch as easily as a metal scouring pad. I use this first as much as possible, then sometimes finish off (if there's anything left) with a nylon scrubbie (get the hand crocheted ones from Etsy- much better than store bought) I use them on my cast iron skillet.

Used for barbecue grill and cast iron pans
I purchased these to clean my barbecue grill instead of using a wire or nylon brush. I stand this in a coffee cup of clean warm water for 2-3 minutes and use to clean off the char debris before and after grilling. This has truly been an awesome discovery for me and saves my grill grates which saves me a lot of money. I also use it on my cast iron pans with excellent results. I wanted something that could clean/scour without damaging my medium or being toxic to my family or the environment. These are a great price for a 2 pack and the more use they get, the better they clean. When these finally wear out, I’ll be back to purchase more. So far, I’ve had these for 2 years with heavy barbecuing and they hold up very well.Note: Soak in clean water long enough to soften the fibers but not too soft. 3-5 minutes should be more than enough time. After using, rinse with warm water and (if needed) mild dish detergent to clean. Stand upright to dry overnight.

They work but pieces break off easily
Purchased to clean cast iron pans and a wok. They do a good job cleaning with just hot water and elbow grease. Every time I use them, a few pieces break off easily.

I ordered a set of two of these, having used bamboo scrubbers for my walks for many years but these were so cheaply made, the second time I used them the handle fell off one of them and I haven't even thought about using the 2nd one yet. Unfortunately I'm past the return window so I'm stuck with these. Would avoid buying these as they just do not stand Up to do the job they're meant to do

Like it but…
Really like this thing because it’s not a gross sponge and it cleans well… buuuuuut…. It fell apart in just a few weeks.Lots of good, but not good when it’s fragile, and you cook a lot. Good thing there is a second one… might try another brand to see if they last longer.

EUREKA! For CAST IRON -- best 7-buck kitchen tool EVER.
I acquired a complete set of vintage Piqua, Griswold, and Wagner (first generation) pans two years ago. After working for days to properly sand, restore, and re-season (flax seed oil - 6 sessions), I began cooking on them and found that when things in the pan got crispy (like bacon, steak, etc) cleaning was a worry and a real pain with the standard "wooden spatula" method. I was worried about damaging the perfect surface and it was a lot of work too.I saw these on Amazon and for seven bucks I gave them a try. EUREKA! BEST CAST IRON CLEANING TOOL EVER! You hold it at a low angle to the pan (lift the pan out of the sink) add warm water (dish soap optional) and scrub using the ends of the bamboo "whisks." The whisk takes any cooked-on crusty stuff right off the surface immediately. I mean SERIOUSLY -- less than 30 seconds!!! No elbow grease required.Works great on the sides too. When the pan is clean, toss the whisk into the dishwasher. Viola! In less than three minutes you are DONE.I bought a set over a year ago and they're still going strong in spite of countless runs through the dishwasher. My vintage cast iron is getting better and better because the seasoning is getting stronger and smoother and more effective with each use.How did I live without this 7 buck item?? I DO NOT KNOW.They will always have a place in my kitchen.

Couldn't be better
We bought an authentic steel wok -- made in the US! -- from the Wok SHop in San Francisco's Chinatown. THis brush cleans it up really well. I grip it high on the bristles, and it gets everything off the wok surface. Very pleased.

Perfect for my wok
These bamboo brushes are perfect for cleaning my wok after cooking with it. The brush scrapes off any caked on pieces of food without removing my woks seasoning. I couldn't be happier with these brushes.
