Trustworthy - Bible Study Book: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God

This study blew me away! First, I want to say that I'm really grateful P31 Ministries had the videos for free access alongside this study bc/ that was a big financial saving. I highly recommend using P31 Ministries as a resource when they are running a study with free video access! Second, even though this was sort of an overview of 1 & 2 Kings the author picked the most crucial material and expounded incredibly. As I recently re-dedicated my life to the Lord prior to this study, there were so many different lessons, aside from the thesis of us serving a Trustworthy God, I learned. Likewise, this book was a huge catalyst in my faith and walk with Christ. This is the type of meat I'm looking for when really digging deep into The Word. I really hope Lysa does another Bible Study book like this. As far as the videos, they're so helpful in getting a historical and theological perspective on what you're studying putting everything into perspective. If you want the full experience I would def recommended buying the video to aid the study. However, the book is just fine independently. Such a job well done and can't wait to jump on board if there's ever another publication!

Great dive into 1 & 2 Kings as a follow up to the study of Elijah by Priscilla Shrier. Only down side is that there is A LOT of information to unpack and I felt that it would better be ingested in 8 weeks instead of 6. We got through it, but be prepared to give a lot of time to study. I didn't have a lot of free time so most every week I struggled to finish all the home work. Great study though. I learned so much and the ladies in my group with greatly blessed.

I am so excited about starting this Bible study. I have not done a study by Lysa yet and am ready to begin this one. Such an important topic. Do I view God as trustworthy? I read the first couple of pages and Lysa seems to be very open and honest about her struggles with this topic. I look forward to diving in and learning. Side Note: Videos are very helpful (I watched the first one) but must be purchased separately which I didn't particularly care for. It would have been better as a bundle. But that doesn't really impact the 5 stars I gave this study.

We're using this in our women's Bible study. It's easy to use for discussion in meetings, and it's very useful for personal study. We're going through it much slower than might be indicated by the labels on the chapters. We do about two "days" worth each week.

Okay, so being up-front, I have to say that I don't like most women's bible studies. They tend to be full of commentary that is often full of fluff. Not this one. I've done inductive studies for over 40 years. This parallels that depth. Every day I've learned something new. There is no divergent or progressive theology. It's straight bible. I do wish the entire study was broken down for 12 weeks instead of 6. It's a lot of homework to do each week. I was in a six week group-study and dropped out because I wasn't able to keep up with my schedule. So I do two or three days of the Workbook per week. I can't speak highly enough about it. Great Job.

I really enjoy the teachings but I wish every chapter gave a clear and defined reading list like some of Lysa's other books. I also with this book laid flat. Its very hard to have a notebook, bible and this book laid out in the same area if you are having to fight with the book the whole time. The graphics in the book are beautiful and calming. One other critique I have is the book probably needs a disclaimer saying that you have to buy everything that goes with it. I bought the book thinking I could just zip through it by myself but it has a group section and weekly videos I am missing out on.

Wow!! I so enjoyed this study by Lysa TerKeurst!! I learned so much about the Kings of the Bible and about trusting our Almighty King, Jesus!! Lysa’s study was a refreshment of what I’d studied before, but never to this extent. Her study was full of Scripture, which I loved, and personal application! She is able to bring to life the Word of God, plus being able to watch the videos with it are so helpful! She really helped me to apply what I learned from the Kings! Highly recommend!!

I love it so far! I knew about the videos before hand but you can buy them on lifeway.com or rent them. Each video (there aren’t that many) costs $3.99 or for rent $2.99 or for $20 as a bundle. I hardly think thats too much. Most bible studies I have encountered have videos such as these with them. I think its awesome to not only have the book.I do wish the book would lay flat but thats no reason to not get it.

I love this devotional so much it truly is life transforming! Its interactive and thought provoking, it has seriously helped me in so many ways!

I didn't notice anywhere on the description that this book is to accompany a video study course. To get the video, it seems you have to purchase it separately. I'm still reading the book but missing alot of information.

The book itself is beautifully presented and the study looks amazing. BEWARE you have to buy or rent the videos for each session! I hadn't realised this and was doing the study alone, I can't afford the videos so think it has been a waste of money getting the book.
