I am actually really satisfied with it that I came back to order both of the other colors (red and white) while it is still on sale, and thought I should leave a review for the seller as an appreciation for the discount. For a $10 collar (with discount) this is a very good deal.Got it to use as a house collar with rabies tag. It’s lightweight and thin enough to keep it on my dog all day. Perfect for that purpose. I can still hook up a leash on this for going out for a potty break at night. Seems really durable.I use a thicker collar in addition to this when we go out for a walk to keep my dog’s neck safe in case he chooses to lunge (he usually doesn’t but accidents can always happen.)It is still pretty sturdy to use as a regular collar for walks. I just wouldn’t personally recommend a collar this thin as a regular collar to medium or larger breed dogs.It runs big, and I didn’t really believe other reviews about this but it REALLY RUNS BIG. My dog’s largest part of the neck is 22 in, and I wanted to use it loose as a tag collar, so I got XL at first, but I had to return it the same day I received it and get L size instead because the smallest I can do with XL seemed like at least 24 inches (just a guess) and it was way too loose even for a house collar. On the other hand, size L hangs loose on his thick neck using the second hole from the inside. There’s a lot more room to make it larger which according to the size table, shouldn’t be possible. This is exactly the fit I wanted to get out of this collar and L does the job so no more complaints but the seller should definitely remeasure the products and fix the table. Hope this measurement I give helps someone to save a trip to return.

Not only is it a classy looking collar, the leather fixtures are extremely solid and hold up well. The rope is of good quality and I love the color and the way it looks on my pup. Will be buying the matching lead at some point!

This collar is one of its kind, a perfect mix of simplicity and elegance.However I will say that the leather to rope ratio is off. The sizing is a little off also, I got the large because of the sizing, but I could have went with the medium and there would still be plenty of room. I took the collar with hiking, so you can imagine what it all went through. When I got home I washed off the mud on the leather off with a damp cloth and it looked new again. The rope part is so thin that my dogs fur covered it up so it didn't get dirty. That and the fact that the leather is so stiff is why I took off one star, other than that it is perfect.In a nutshell I would say this collar would look great on a dog that doesn't have fluffy fur and be prepared to "break in" the leather. If you're looking for a simple yet elegant collar, this is for you.

I love the look of this collar! I don’t purchase leather collars for my dog, because they tend to get scratched up quickly. This collar has lovely leather accents that give it elegance.My dog is between the medium and large size, but I ultimately went with the large, as I prefer my dogs’ collars to to be looser.The reason I took away a star is that the rope part has started to wear a bit without a lot of use. I think a thicker rope would be better for larger sizes.Overall, this is a great collar so far! If you like the look of rope and leather, the price for this collar is more than fair!

We really like the Embark Pets Country Dog Rope Collar. Especially my dog! He pranced around wearing it proudly! It's very well made and sturdy and looks really great too. I wish I had read other reviews however as this collar runs big. I ordered the Large (as I do in all collars) when the Medium would have fit much better. It was super easy just to slip on and off over his head and once, my dog managed to slip out of it while on a walk. Needless to say, I am not using this collar anymore as my dogs safety is number one. Otherwise, it's a really great collar!

I bought a medium for my Doberman and it was a bit too small

I’ve been wanting an affordable, fashionable, and sturdy collar for my Standard poodle for months. This collar fits the bill. The leather is of good quality and it’s sturdy. I do wish there was more rope than leather, but besides that I love it. I will be buying more items from this company in the future.

Sturdiness, you get your moneys worth

Firstly, the positives. This is a really robust, well-made collar. The quality of the materials and stitching is excellent and I would have no concerns for the safety and security of my dog whilst wearing it. It is stylish in a rugged, outdoorsy way as you would expect from the Embark range, however, the small size is completely impractical for a small dog. The only part of the collar that has been scaled down is the rope. The leather and buckle is much too large and heavy for the small size with less than 3 inches of the actual rope. I have a small Spitz and a Swedish Vallhund so whilst they are small breeds they are not dainty but this is just far to cumbersome for either to wear. I attach a comparison pictures of my Vallhund's regular collar for reference. For a larger breed I would definitely consider this but some thought needs to be put into scaling down the hardwear on the smaller sizes.

Complete waste of money, do not buy unless you dog is a stuffed toy. I bought this for my new rescue dog as his 'posh' collar for when we're at home.Unfortunately the only place you knew it was safely on was when he was asleep or when he was wearing his out for walks collar. Considering the price, I should have thought it was expected to act like a collar but instead this collar stretches so much my boy just backs out of it. Funny in your back yard,not so much when we meet something that is new and makes my boy feel nervous as you end up with a collar dangling on a lead and your new dog running off in an area he doesn't know.I'm so disappointed with this expensive, deffinately overpriced collar, in fact I'd go as far to say that even if I'd been given it for free I would have given up using it as it puts my dogs life in danger due to the ease at which it comes off through stretching.

Have went out on quite a few walks now using the collar and leash on our labrador, the set is for our bernese mountain dog for when hes big and strong but as hes only 4 months it doesnt fit him yet, however we love it on our labrador and are concidering getting him is own country dog collar and lead! I love rope leads and have never seen a rope collar! With the rope matched up with the leather it looks very classy on our lab and has that rustic feel! The first thing we all said when it arrived was how strong it was. Great quality!

This product failed on the collar link snapped our dog was then loose ! Basically the weld on the ring not strong enough! Had various attempts to communicate with the reseller of this product ! They promised they would sort out the issue but they failed through lackOf communication and bad customer service and theyCan not defend that ! Try to get in touch its impossibleEmbark you had your chance to not get a bad review but you failed like your product and don’t send a replacement I’m done. The only advise I can give to embark this collar is fantastic make the ring More safe stronger steel or whatever.Rant over

I bought 2 ,one medium for a bearded collie ,that's fine ,another one small for my little dog ,although the collar is shorter in length ,it is far too thick for a little dog's neck ,it should have been in proportion ,I wish I had not bought it ,having said that it is beautiful and seems strong enough ,so it should be considering the thickness of the collar !
