No more constipation or cramps
Kabrita is a great light mild tasting goat formula for infants. It has totally stopped my son's terrible constipation and cramping. My son was previously 95% breastfed except for a once day formula a few weeks here and there. I suddenly became unwell which made my supply drop drastically. It also did not help as we started to sleep train him through the night. I started using cow's milk formula once a day which did not seem to cause issues since around a few weeks old. However once I increased frequency, cramps started which were obvious after each cow's milk formula feed. I tried nannycare which stopped cramping but caused severe constipation (rock hard poo that caused rectal bleeding), Holle organic goat's formula caused more cramps than nannycare and even worse constipation for him. Apparently those two formulas have higher added fat content which makes poop harder.Kabrita stopped all his cramps and constipation. He can poo daily with ease and at 5m is a pale greenish(apparently from added iron in the formula) type paste with small yellow/white bits in (sorry to describe it like this, but it is just to reassure parents who are using it to know this is normal). I believe the reason for no constipation is (as per babyformulaexpert.com):1) Kabrita adds extra whey (goat milk whey) to the formula so you can see the whey/casein ratio is closer to the whey/casein ratio in breast milk. Now almost all the research on whey and casein and digestion is done on cow’s milk, which makes it easy to say that extra whey is better in cow’s milk formula. There is just WAY less research in goat milk formulas, but given the chemical differences between whey and casein, it does make sense to me that extra whey in goat milk formula will be helpful for certain babies.2) Kabrita uses a special type of palm oil that basically avoids all the negatives of palm oil. This means, no calcium soaps formed in the intestines, and softer stools. So this type of fat blend may be super beneficial and comforting for babies suffering from constipation.3) Kabrita is the ONLY of the 3 formulas that has DHA.So although Kabrita is not organic, it seems to have a good composition that makes it easy for my baby to digest. If you have tried the other goat milk formulas and encountered issues, try Kabrita, it may do well for your baby.Ordering this via amazon, the delivery quotes 3 days but I have twice received this in 2 working days instead. Great service.
