Hostess Cherry Fruit Pies 4.5 oz (Pack of 8) 8x120gr Box - US Imported

Bought these pies, since came back from a US holiday, and while there, had the smaller package Apple version, and thought maybe I could get them here… but so disappointed since they are as other reviews, “old and soggy, and have taken on the taste of card board they come in, since they are not in a sealed plastic bag in the card board box! Really should have looked at the reviews.

My husbands favourite, so got him a whole case for Christmas which he loved ! Quick postage and arrived well packaged.

I was delighted to see these available, but so disappointed by the product I received. Inedible, soggy, squishy and discoloured. When I looked for a best by date, I couldn’t see one anywhere. From the scent and texture it’s though I reckon it’s long passed.I’m from the US, but have been living in the U.K. for many years. I thought this would be a kick to share with my kids and and a lovely bit of nostalgia. Instead I’m left wondering at least two things - whether I’ll ever want to eat ANY cherry pie again and how on Earth could this be sold in good conscience. Just adding insult to injury is the “not eligible for return” stipulation. The cheek.

What can I say but this is a taste of home for my wife and she really loves them.

I grew up in Hoboken, NJ back in the 60s where the Hostess factory was. I ate these cherry fruit pies like they were the last pies on earth. They were just so great. The pies were bigger, sweeter and the fruit filling was so good. Unfortunately, they are disappointing now. The pies are smaller, the filling is more like a jelly filling, not as sweet as they were and the taste isn't good at all. I'm quite disappointed in them and in a way regret purchasing them. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone now. They're just not good anymore.

I loved these pies growing up but when I opened them I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the pies themselves! There are as NO frosting on the outside of the pies it had all melted off and the inside was very jelly like but with a Finn texture!! I will not buy again! They where gross!! Yuck!!

the pies had a weird packaging taste that didn't fade with time and also the pies went stale pretty quickly. I would not recommend to buy.
