This is the second item I've had good luck with as far as disregarding reviews and others' experiences... it worked out perfectly for me! Installation was easy (Nexgrill) and I've used my grill twice since I've installed it. No malfunctioning. If it would've malfunctioned, I'd simply return it and request another. But apparently, the one I got was just fine.One would think that a grill maker would not be in bed with an aftermarket thermometer making company, but because they just KNEW that eventually, their wretched needle (indicator) wouldn't work (LLLOOOLLL), here we are.The grill is trustworthy again, and kudos to Hongso for supplying us grill lovers with an easy fix... I disassembled my original thermometer, but the glue I used on the indicator didn't hold, and Nexgrill (Hexgrill) didn't reply to me with any OEM info, so I found this one which had the best reviews on my do-it-all site, Amazon. the first one I got did not work had to send back and got the second that one works fine

This thermometer works great on my grill.

It was the same thermometer but the mounting was different.had to drill a ouple ofholes and add the studs off the old one. I’m satisfied with it

Looked just like the original

Not bad I guess. Decently accurate. Problem ist that this thing mounts differently than the original proprietary thermometer does. The original one mounts the thermometer and the thermometer enclosure together and is a tight fit. This one mounts only the thermometer through the enclosure so that the thermometer itself you are buying is decently flush and tight but the original enclosure is loose. However, You cannot get rid of the enclosure because the mounting bolt for this thermometer is machined so that the threading has a depth including the enclosure is exact. Get rid of the enclosure and the thermometer will be loose. Without the enclosure there will also be 2 holes uncovered to the left and right of the thermometer where the original mounting bolts went. Classic aftermarket Chinese junk. Works alright but wobbles unless you go see if you can find and buy a different bolt that will work and figure out how to get it mounted with this thing. Not worth your time. Trust me. Go buy the actual nexgrill replacement from Home Depots website and skip this garbage
