Hammer StahlBird's Beak Paring Knife 3"

After buying 3 Shun Hikari knives, I still needed a bird’s beak paring knife. Not wanting to spend anymore this year on more Shun (next year), I bought this Hammerstahl paring knife. It *is* quite pretty but so poorly made that it’s a pain to handle. The metal parts and the rivets stand away from the wooden parts and there are uncomfortable and sharp ridges. I even cut myself on one of the rivets that poke up. Absolutely DO NOT recommend. Do yourself a favor and get a better brand.

How can this be good carbon steel? I dropped the knife on concrete from about 3 feet and the blade broke near the handle.

I have smaller hands so this is a fit perfect for me. It's held It's edge nicely and it is a beautiful knife. I very pleased with my purchase.

I love these knives so much I bought the whole set! Super sharp and beautiful!!!!
