My little American bulldog Zoey is a prolific shedder, despite her short hair. I can tell you two things, she takes this little pill willingly like a treat and it has reduced her shedding by 99%! I am thrilled to not be covered with her hair since she's a 45 lb lap dog. I wasn't compensated in any way for this review, I just want to pass on a review for an effective product.

I never write reviews, but this product is pure magic and I want anyone who's dealing with crazy shedding to know it.I have a 1.5 yr old Aussie mix who sheds on a level I've never encountered. I tried the expensive gadgets, I have an entire drawer full of every kind of lint roller, constant brushing & vacuuming and still there was no surface in my home not completely covered in hair. I was at the end of my rope when I found this supplement and it actually changed my life.It started working relatively quickly, I noticed a big reduction after a couple weeks, and after a couple months, there's virtually no shedding at all. As an added bonus, she absolutely loves them- I put them in her food bowl and she actually digs them out to eat first!Last night, I went out in an outfit that was all black (if you're here, you know that struggle). I sat on the couch, gave her some love, and when I stood up, there wasn't a single hair on my clothes! If that doesn't convince you, nothing will!

It stopped the itching

Just didn’t perform as featured did not help my dog whatsoever! Very disappointed!

I have 3 dogs - two who shed bad and the other has skin issues. The two that shed (pugs) do so much better when I give them the pills to help lessen the shedding. It doesn't make it completely stop of course but it has definitely made an impact. They also seem to itch a little less.Sometimes they eat it without problems but other times they don't really want it so I have to sneak it into their food, but they are picky eaters anyway.

So my dogs have severe allergies and they do shed a bit even with regular brushing it’s impossible to get it all especially since they have a double coat. The top coat is straight and their undercoat is incredibly tight. We don’t mind the shedding but we needed to deal with the his allergies so that was why we bought this product.Prior to buying this we tried oatmeal baths, topical sprays and even put him on a vet prescribed medication call apiquel none of it really helped. But this product worked wonders on his itching it’s not 100% no itch but is so lessened that we don’t have to fear him hurting himself by scratching or biting. We also use the VetsBest Seasonal Allergy medication and it helps. These medicines are nondrowsy so it doesn’t put them to sleep like Benadryl or any other anti-itch medication would. It just helps relieve some of that itch so they can relax and calm. Before we started this my poor baby turtle (I know yes his name is turtle and he’s a dog) had lots of scratching spots he would scratch till his skin would bleed we were seriously worried about it and why he was scratching there were no fleas or no other health issues just this terrible itch well it turned out he is allergic to grasses, molds and gluten so with a diet change to gluten free cooking and these medications he’s doing so well his hair and grown back and while the itch will never completely go away it is under control to where he isn’t getting hurt. This medication as well as the Allergy Seasonal Medication by Vetsbest are lifesavers to us and to them. Now we can enjoy being outside with less itch and their shedding significantly less. I’d say it is at least a 75% improvement, the main thing we care about is that they feel better and enjoy activity their quality of life is so very important to us. With the itching controlled and are happier and that is a blessing to us. As I said we tried everything even expensive pharmaceuticals that did nothing but this worked we noticed a change within the first few days. A big thing he had to take into consideration though is consistency the dogs actually like the flavor of the medication so they eat it pretty easily but you have to be consistent and make it part of their schedule for us they get the medication twice a day at breakfast and dinner those times are set 8 PM is dinnertime and 8 AM is breakfast and they have snacks in between. We noticed that it was very important to not break up the routine if we went even a day without the medication because it was on order and hadn't arrived yet, the difference was instant and there was definitely a lot more itching happening.So while this does work be prepared for the investment and if you love your pet the investment is worth it for their comfort they will take this medication like my dogs do for the rest of their lives. Truth is they don’t seem to mind and the results are truly amazing so give it a try And be patient all dogs are different while mine reacted very quickly to it different dogs have different systems but I cannot stress how important consistency is. A consistent schedule for dosing is important that is something you cannot mess up on, the same thing as if we taken medication and have to take it every day at a specific time once you got a schedule it has to stay that way. I’d give 100 stars if I could for this product my pets are part of my family and their health is just as important as mine.

After having great success with another product made by this company, Vet's Best Aspirin Free Aches and Pains Dog Supplements, Natural Formula, I decided to try this supplement. My (almost)15 year old Boston Terrier has always been allergy-prone and has had multiple skin and/or coat issues through the years. I was hoping this product would be as much of a success for him as the other product has been. I saw that this supplement would give him added Omega 3s as well as other nutrients, and I was hoping it would give a "boost" to his normal diet and hopefully relieve/resolve some of his itching and other coat concerns.. Things went horribly wrong when I tried to give him the first dose. Since he's just under 20 pounds, I needed to split the pills and give him half. They are scored, and I used a pill splitter for accuracy, but the pill literally crumbled into a pile of tiny particles once I split the pill. The other pill of theirs that I give him twice a day I split, and it stays 95% together and I have no complaints. I have continued to attempt to give him this twice per day until I can find a different product, but the vast majority of the bottle's contents are in crumb form at the bottom of the bottle or in my trash can. Sadly, I can't say if this product improves dogs' skin and coats because it was impossible to give my little Buddy a single dose successfully. Would definitely not recommend, especially if you would need to split the pills to give the correct dose.

My dog had been chewing on all four of his paws for quite some time and made them fairly red and raw. I tried spraying them with bitter apple to make him quit licking and putting boots on him but nothing worked. So I tried this supplement and behold, it worked! He has stopped licking his paws and all his hair is grown back. I am so glad I found something that did the trick.
