Poorly Written and Incomplete Book
I bought this book as part of a required IV certification in Colorado. My background is a BS in physiology with an MS in neurophysiology. I am also a Firefighter/EMT.This is one of the worse books I have ever purchased in my 18 years + of educational training. This book only touches upon very superficial concepts that one can Google for free. The book does not address important concepts in IV therapy such as: Specific IV Interventions in the Pediatric Population, Correct Dosages Based on Patient Presentation, Specific IV Therapy in Different Types of Shock, Intravenous Fluid Selection Pros and Cons and so on. The book also comes with mathematical mistakes regarding dosage administration. The most I would pay for this book is $5 as it does a decent job reviewing the Principles of Fluid Balance.

The writing was horrible and it's filled with mistakes.
This book poorly written and even worse, it contains information that is factually wrong. The quizzes are almost useless given that some of the answers don't even match the content of the book. I returned it.
