Who this books is for: Someone visiting the region for the first and maybe only time who wants to see the highlights and balance time between cities & adventures. This would be the only guidebook you! More that half of the book covers cities: Seattle, Portland, Vancouver & Victoria. The remainder covers three of the most beautiful and quintessential parts of the region to explore: Olympic Peninsula, Mount Rainier & the Oregon Coast.Who this book is not for: Locals looking for shorter weekend or weeklong trips in the region or folks looking for a more comprehensive guide to the region. There's a lot that's not covered - especially if you're looking to stay away from cities (RVers and Van trippers) and explore off the beaten path.This book wasn't what I was looking for but I'm fan of moon guides in general. Their detailed maps are great and they have good suggestions for hikes and outdoor activities. If you're looking for more road trip ideas in the region I would recommend Lonely Planet's Pacific Northwest "Best Trips" instead and Moon Guides of Oregon, Washington or BC for more comprehensive coverage of the area.
