American Girl
This little (and it is a little 5" x 5") book is pretty lame and not up to American Girl standards. Each little page has 5-7 words on it plus an illustration from one of the American Girl books (e.g., Meet Kayla). The American Girl books are as special as this book isn't. Because of its small size and weary text, I doubt it can hold the interest of an American kid, girl or boy. It certainly isn't worth the money, unless it ends up in the Dollar Tree store.

Size & content deceiving… Could be my fault that I didn’t pay more attention
I bought this as a gift and was too embarrassed to give it since it was skimpy in size it also really lacked in good content.

Power Packed!
The best things come in small packages. What I like about the American Girls series is that the stories and characters tend to be models of empowerment. This is such a refreshing change of pace from the spoiled, vacuous, vain, vapid and entitled yucky princesses that I grew up disliking. What Ramona Quimby, my favorite literary girl was for me hopefully American Girl will be for the current and subsequent generations.I like the way this small power packed book also encourages without beating readers over the head with diversity. The American Girl dolls and their stories feature characters from different time frames; ethnicities and shows of resourcefulness, determination and intelligence. Serious topics such as bullying and fairness as well as taking pride in oneself are included. Add to it the illustrations are masterpieces.
