Washing Machine Cleaner for Front Load, Top Load or HE, Slow Dissolving Huge 1180ml Eco Friendly Tablets for Maximum Effect Deep Clean Your Washer Where Others Fail

After using other brands that come in oversize crushed boxes with crushed tablets, it was time to find another brand. When I saw Renuv, I was impressed 1st with the label description "Heavy duty". When I received the box & upon opening the it - I was impressed a 2nd time that each tablet is neatly placed one on top of the other - no crushed tablets. After using Renuv, I highly recommend it. Another thing that is great about the packaging is you can read everything, magnifiers are not necessary for small print.

So, what I did was buy a washing machine cleaner that is supposed to clean out years of leftover suds and deposits from dirty laundry from the machine itself. Musty odors and cleaner clothes are mentioned.Since this product promised a totally refreshed clean washer and this machine is 14 years old or more, I thought it could use it.I put some used smelly sponges in thinking that this stuff will definitely clean and sanitize those sponges if they don't disintegrate from whatever heavy duty acids or what all is in there.So I used Tub Clean cycle on my washer, a special cycle made for cleaning the washer itself. Directions for the product say to use hot water extra long wash if you don't have a Tub Clean cycle. So, sure enough, by feeling the glass door I can tell that my Tub Clean used plain cold water not hot at all. So my first recommendation is to use a hot water wash unless you're sure your Clean Washer cycle truly uses Hot water.Our washer doesn't smell because we leave the door open essentially All The Time. And every couple weeks I use a soapy rag to pry apart the gaskets and clean out the gunk that's in there with some pine cleaner or Mr Klean or the like. Do this when you have a half full soapy wash with warm water and you won't believe the crud that's caught in there - And we're just a family of 2!I stopped the washer when this product was being emptied out and used a white rag and found the same yucky stuff caught in the gasket and not washed out. You need to realize that the gasket actually can't be cleaned any other way as it's purpose IS to SEAL the water inside - if the soapy water got in there, it would also get OUT of your washer and be all over the floor. So no product can do that for you!Well the washer looks and smells the same before as after. What's more, those stinky sponges came out smelling much the same as when they went in!! No fresh, disinfectant nor bleachy smell at all. Wondering what exactly I paid for here. Then I'm reading about oxi type cleaners and realized that this expensive clean-out tablet was 100% oxy-klean of some kind. Like the box I have right there on the washer! There's $15 that I could have substituted 15 cents worth of Oxy for! And I still need to soak those sponges in some vinegar or bleach. Live and Learn.Main suggestion is to get that gasket apart while it's warm and soapy and clean out that gunk. Use vinegar, off brand oxy cleaner, pine cleaner, whatever. If your washer isn't fresh smelling, that's where it's coming from. Happy Laundering!

I never write reviews but I honestly think that this product is better than the fancier/pricier version from other brands. I live in an apartment with a small whirlpool washer that has the large agitation part in the middle of the washer. I have very bad allergies and a dog so I wash clothes everyday and I wash his bedding and toys monthly. This has been the only cleaner that I’ve actually felt CLEANS the washer. I do two cleaning cycles back to back with a tablet in each cycle but I think that is because I am a little OCD and it is probably not necessary. There is no residue left after and the tablet ALWAYS fully dissolves. I highly recommend this product!

Made all the difference in the smell and look of my front load washer and I've noticed a freshness to our clothes.

Unfortunately, the washing machine refuses to fill up more than half way with nothing in the machine. The bottom half of the tub was like new. I am still scrubbing on the top half.
