Is the 3 scoops a day for Buhner lyme protocol?

I don't know.  Based on the 5:1 concentration of the extract, the 57g of extract is equivalent to approx. 20 oz. of plant material and somewhat over 20 scoops of powder.  If one were making tincture from Sida acuta, 1 oz. plant material would be made into 5 fluid oz. of tincture or 30 ml.  So 3 scoops a day is a HUGE dose, probably unnecessary unless you have a very serious infection.  I am using it as an herbal antibiotic per Buhner, not specifically for lyme disease (I don't have that book of his), and I make a 5x strength tincture by putting 1 scoop of the powder into a 1 oz. amber dropper bottle, adding vodka to just short of the top, capping it and shaking it, and waiting a few hours for it to mostly dissolve.  I shake it before each use, and take 2-4 droppersful 3-4 times a day.  I hope this was somewhat helpful.

has anyone with lyme had herx?  i just got off abx and wanted to try something less harsh.  going to start 1x a day.  also looking for energy

I have had Lyme for 4 years.  I used to have herx when I soaked in hot epsom salts bath and when I used a hot tub in FL, and then I read not to soak in hot water even when bathing because it produces herx (a flood of toxins) which can be dangerous.  I am unable to use antibiotics so that was not a treatment option when I got bitten.  My LD symptoms did not manifest themselves for 9 months after my first tick bite.  After the initial presentation went away, I had no symptoms for 2 months; then over the next year the incidents became more frequent and of longer duration (the LD bacteria was reproducing).  I took the advice of a Lyme counselor who had had LD and began an organic alkaline diet and drank alkaline water via a filter I installed under my sink.  My LD symptoms left for 2 months until I got the second tick bite.  I quickly became so nauseous and exhausted that I was a prisoner in my home after 2pm each day.  I then tried and bought the Bemer, an electro-magnetic pulsing medical device, (2) 8-min sessions daily on a 70x28 pad, which got rid of my nausea and exhaustion in two days, both of which have stayed away as long as I use the Bemer.  While I was using the Bemer I began an herbal program from Steve Bohner's (sp) book.  After 4 months of adding one herb every two weeks, my abdomen which had swollen gradually started to hurt, so I stopped the entire program.   Bohner claims great success, so I would encourage you to try it.  You can do all three things at the same time: an organic 70% alkaline diet to starve the anerobic Lyme bacteria which thrive in acidic conditions; use the Bemer (you will have no side effects from either of these two non-invasive protocols); and start the herbal protocol (which may or may not produce side effects). What is the best way to mix this in liquid?  Every way I've tried it just clumps together and is very difficult to dissolve for drinking.

It works best for me to either blend it into a smoothie, or dissolve it into hot soup. No clumping either way.
