Works on Mac OS Catalina
I have a Mac computer running OS 10.15.4 Catalina as well as a machine running Windows 10. It works well on both computers, and I didn't have to search for drivers to get it to work on either of them. The adapter was just plug-and-play. I've been using it for cameras that connect with S-Video cables, so I haven't had the opportunity to test the AV input. The device itself functions basically like a webcam. The only downside I can think of is that when I use Quicktime to record, and I select this device as the video input, the video dimensions aren't incredibly large. That just means that the video size isn't as big as you might get with a webcam, so the quality is more like a Youtube video than a high definition movie. That said, I think it's still a pretty decent size, and I'm happy with it.

Great inexpensive way to stream my classic console collection.
Great, low cost solution!I bought a second-hand capture card. It accepts HDMI, and can use a dongle for older connections. It did not come with that dongle, and I wanted to capture my classic consoles. To get the cord on the Internet is very hard, it would cost upwards of $24.On a hunch I came to Amazon and did a search for capture cards. This was the most inexpensive one that came up. I am a gambling man...I received the product a couple days later. It was completely Plug and Play. It worked with OBS right out of the box. I could not ask for more. The unit is well-made, it's small. My games look great. I can record, or even stream my games. If I had any home videos, or old video tapes I am sure that this would convert them to digital with excellent quality. The Box boasts 1080p, but that's not true. You can only get that kind of resolution through component or HDMI. The maximum resolution is 480p.I totally recommend this for a No-Frills cheap method of video and audio capture.

The included software is a trial of abandoned software.
Seems to work okay (I'm using it to play a Super Nintendo in a window on my PC). But the software included on the CD is AmCap, which is a trial/demo, and after maybe 10-20 minutes of use, the capture stops, and you get this dialog with "Register" and "Close" buttons. That would be annoying enough, but if you click Register...you get a broken link in your browser. So... there is probably software somewhere that will work with it, but I shouldn't have to find it. I'm a software architect, I solve problems for a living, I shouldn't *have* to solve problems to relax. This is essentially useless to me. Doesn't show up as a webcam like other capture devices I have, this is just... crap, I guess.

Donโt expect to love converted videos on flat screens.
It works but the only product I could get is only 640 X 480. Those older, cherished, camcorder videos turn out looking bad.

Works better than the one I had.
Wanted to add a security camera I already had to use for video-conferencing. I had and older variation of this sort of thing, but many software programs had trouble with it. This one seems to have cured that, so far is compatible with everything I've tried it with and without any aspect-ratio weirdness that I saw on the old one in some cases.
