Bought this more for camping and portability, and it fits the bill perfectly.I've used it with scrap wood and charcoal and it works great with both, a little better with charcoal.It's very frugal in it's use of fuel which is a BIG plus.It's not "light weight", but certainly manageable to haul especially with the included carry bag.The wood rack for using sticks of scrap wood works fine. It could use a redesign to make it pack a little better, but that's just nitpicking.Overall this is a very nice cooking appliance and would come in handy if the utilities went off.

I really liked this unit. It was packed very securely, with great tongs and a fantastic bag. It appears to be well made and sturdy in all areas except one. I have not used it yet because the rack on which the pot sits is not level, so when you put a pot or pan on it, it does not sit flat and level and tends to slide and wobble a bit. This has me concerned especially if being used around children. I wanted to return this for a replacement thinking it was probably simply a defect, but was told it could not be returned. I was however, issued a full refund. Thank you Amazon. I am thinking of taking it to a welding shop to see if they can do something about fixing the pot rack in some way so it can be used. Perhaps it can be ground evenly somehow.
