Decent for the price; a little loose, a bit too translucent, didn't fit well in my hands.
I mostly bought these for the thumb caps as I could not find yellow joy-con soft silicone thumb caps anywhere else. But I will review the product as a whole, not just the caps. These are very soft and the material feels nice. The fit is a little loose, but not as bad as I expected. It doesn't seem like it'd come off in play but might annoy some people. I have heard the Hori brand gel guards are the best-fitting ones but they only come in black and must be imported, and also I've heard the padded back is not as deep on those. These seem like a decent solution if you want a product of that type. Face buttons, joysticks, and shoulder buttons are all perfectly usable. The +/- and home/screencap keys are slightly harder to press. You may want to use a hole punch around the +/- keys in particular. The release buttons are covered with a little raised circle of silicone over them, and are a tiny bit more difficult to press but not very much. The big problem with the yellow color as compared to the other colors is from what I can tell looking at other pictures and also at my own, the yellow allows the color of whatever is underneath it to "bleed" through a lot more. So if you put it on your neon joy-cons you will end up with yellow-greenish and yellow-orangish. You can also see the lines of the internal structure very strongly through the back. And if you put the thumb caps on you will get a slightly sickly looking darker yellow rather than the bright yellow they appear as when not on the sticks. HOWEVER, I did hack up a cheap solution to this problem. I just cut out circles of white paper to the size of the caps, put them inside the caps, and then inserted those on the joysticks with the paper inside. It fits just as snugly and now appears bright yellow without the black joystick showing through. Sadly there's no easy way to apply this method to the entire joycon for the grips. As for the caps in action, I like them pretty well once the color problem is solved. The material doesn't feel quite as nice to me as the base joy-con stick material, but it's decently soft, which is what I was looking for. The slight circular pattern on them doesn't really provide any additional grip so your thumbs may slide around a little bit, but I don't mind that. If you prioritize grip I'd recommend plastic caps instead. (I actually got these to replace the plastic caps that came with the PDP armor guards because although their grip was very good I disliked their hard plastic feel and wanted a softer material.)My last comment is more YMMV as everyone's hands are different. I have arthritis and have been spending a lot of time searching for Switch accessories to make it more comfortable for me to use in handheld or split-joycon mode. I also have hands that are very long but narrow with long fingers. The best product I have found so far for myself in handheld mode is the PDP Armor Guards. The big advantage of those for me is that the bottom "bump" is all the way at the bottom of the joy-con and goes all the way across it, which fits better in my hand between the pad of my thumb and palm. However, I wish the "bump" on those extended further up the back of the joy-con. Here, the bump does extend further up, but it also starts further up, which puts its location not in the right spot of my palm at all. It's also not as wide, rather tapering inward toward the edge of the joy-con. I also like that the PDP armor guards have another ridge at the top I can rest my finger below which these don't have. So, the hard plastic of the PDP armor guards doesn't feel as nice to me as this soft material, but those are more comfortable for me in handheld mode and also I like that they don't cover the front of the joy-cons.In the end, I think these might be a decent buy if your hands are on the smaller size and you want a more comfortable grip. But if your hands are larger I don't know how big of an improvement you'll see with them. I've included pictures that also compare these to the Armor Guards so you can judge from the shapes/sizes which might fit your hands better. The last picture shows these thumb guards with the white pieces of paper inserted inside them.

Affordable alternative to change the color of your Joy-Con!!
I bought the yellow Joy-Con Gel Guards, way cheaper than buying yellow Joy-Con!!!! So five stars on price and for design.Very easy to install!!!It looks great!!!! Feels smooth on my hands and adds a little extra grip on the bottom of the joy-con. They also will help keep the joy-con clean!!! Although with the yellow, it may get dirty faster then the grey. At least they are cheap enough to replace when they get too dirty. My 9 year old approves and says that he likes the Gel Guards and he was happy to have a choice. Of course her older sister said I should have got the red blue ones, so maybe a future purchase. Of course the color is personal choice.I do not see it a big deal with having to put a little effort into pressing in the - and + buttons. Maybe this would depend on what game you are playing, but I did not need these buttons for the games I played this week. I think it is more of an issue of just using these buttons slightly different. The covers on the joy sticks are perfect fit and help your fingers grip the joy sticks. There is no ay these are coming off by accident, they are snug and provide some extra grip. The only issue is the right Gel Guard is looser on the right than the left one which has a perfect fit. The left gel guard stays on with no issues at all and when applying pressure it will not move, however he right Gel Guard slips with very little effort. So lost one star for this one issue. Not sure if the right is designed differently, or if maybe it is just my set. Will find out if I purchase other colors in the future. I did see others say they are a little loose. But I would only say my right one is a little loose and my left one is a perfect fit.I really like how the both the right and left both provide extra grip for your hands on the lower back side of the grip, this is a nice feature. Also there is a piece that can be popped out of the right joy con for use with the IR sensor. I removed it hoping the right joycon would be more snug once removed, but it made no difference.Over all not bad for the price to change the look of my switch and way cheaper then buying a new set of joycons! Next we need splatoon themed colors please.

A reasonable purchase at $7.
Ok, so the reviews I read before ordering these things had some minor complaints about them being too loose, and having trouble hitting the + and - buttons. I have had absolutely no problem pressing + or -, so I'm not sure what's going with those reviews. The fit on them, however, could be a little more snug, but that's also a factor of how tightly you grip the things. If you clamp down like an angry crab when you're playing games, these are probably not going to be a great fit for you. Otherwise, I like them ok. They could be a little more robust; I wish the bulbous grip part was about twice as big. They do make the Switch more comfortable to hold in mobile mode, and they're great (5 enthusiastic stars in this capacity) when the joycons are disconnected for motion controller mode. (In fairness to the fit of the things, they do need the ability to be taken on and off easily for when you are slotting the joycons in the controller frame, so I understand why they left the fit on them as relaxed as they did.)Worth the $7, for sure, but if you're looking for a permanent, high quality solution to all your ergonomic issues with the Switch, you're probably going to want to keep looking, and spend a little more money, especially if your hands are of the larger variety. I was pleased to find that they do not affect the Switch's ability to go into my official Switch travel case (the ones they stock at Walmart and Gamestop), which was a concern I had when ordering.

BAD WRIST STRAPS! DO NOT BUY!
The game Just Dance 2020 thinks i'm jiggling the controller too hard! Because it's not attached to the actual strap properly! Even when I made it tight enough that I could feel my Pulse without touching my wrist it would say "Good" or "Ok" when I did the move perfectly fine! Bad Product, These are even worse than the official Nintendo wrist straps! Will return as soon as I can, Do not buy!
