Gets INCREDIBLY hot
I bought this wok to replace my cast iron one when I switched from a gas range to induction. I wasn't prepared for how much better the combination of carbon steel and induction was going to be. This thing gets blazingly hot, enough so that I can finally make a credible stir fry at home now. It's a little awkward to clean by hand, but I find that true of most woks.About the only thing to watch out for are the seasoning instructions - I think if I had that to do again I would have removed the wooden handle seasoned it in the oven like a cast iron skillet instead of trying to do it on the stove top.

Heat retention, well seasoned
This is an attractive wok. The ability to peek through the lid is valuable, though not essential. The flat base is a little wider than preferred, though it is stable. It’s used on a ceramic cooktop. It’s on the heavier side but doesn’t interfere much with lifting and flip the ingredients. Buy a spun steel wok if weight is a consideration. A few hammer strikes could have been finished better, but that’s an appearance consideration. It cooks fast like it is supposed to. Stay nibble, or scorch stuff. The handle is just right for tossing the dish, but lacked an easy-hang eye bolt for storage. So one was added.This wok is pre seasoned very well, but like almost all steel woks, it takes time to build its not stick qualities. Clean it well before using. A few initial seasoning will reward you. That first egg will stick if the surface isn’t hot enough, and well oiled. If your new to the tool it probably will anyway.Woks are very personal, individual purchases. Alway, get one you can be happy with, be tolerant of early failures. It doesn’t hurt to think of it as a friend. Four stars may be a little high, but that’s the nature of the instrument. It’s potential is five stars. This is an ancient device and cooks like no other pot or pan. Use it, learn its personality. It can become your best cooking buddy.

Love this wok! Perfect size for everyday use. Relatively light weight and easy to handle.

Nice to have and use
Still have to get used to using a wok but it has done its job thus far. Heats up to a good temp and relatively easier to clean.
