I am a personal trainer and as part of my arsenal of tools I show clients how to foam roll, and there many different types of foam rollers to choose from. Though the Back Buddy is not a foam roller, it would be considered trigger point therapy. I really like the Back Buddy because I can get to my problem areas while sitting at my desk, watching TV, waiting for tea, etc. Where foam rolling is a more longer drawn out process, which I still recommend, the Back Buddy requires no other effort than finding the trigger point and applying pressure. It allows me to get to areas that the foam roller can not, for example the upper trap and neck area, and detailed work around the scapula. As far as durability, I am 200lbs, I do not think I could break it if I tried. It was well thought out, well built, and the spacing and placement of the knobs is perfect. Also, it is the only thing that I have found that works on my hamstrings, just sit in a hard chair, use the appropriate knob, and use your body weight to control the pressure.The company emailed me the directions as soon as I placed the order and it also comes with a small booklet. Learn how to use it and you won't be disappointed. I am now recommending it to all of my clients.

I LOVE THIS THING!!! I first saw it on the TV show Shark Tank and I finally bought it!! It's @#$%&#@ AMAZING!!! I suffer from chronic migraines, due to muscle knots in my upper back and shoulders. This tool helps me relieve the tension in my muscles in my neck, shoulders, lower back, Sciatic!!! I love it and recommend it to everyone who happens to have any kind of pain in their body, neck shoulders, hips, legs ANYWHERE!! I use it every day/evening, where i feel muscle tightness and knots. It has made my migrains practically dismissed!!! JUST TRY IT, you can always return it...but don't bother saving the Packaging because you won't fathom the thought of being without it!!!.. My husband and I have chronic joint and spinal issues from years of physically challenging work. We bought this for its ability to reach specific points of pain. It is amazing! The shape allows access to any area of concern and the shapes of the knobs allow you to determine the amount of pressure. The only odd reaction I’ve had consistently is feeling ready for a nap when I’m done but I’m retired so not a big deal. Highly recommend!

Summary:I purchased this product for family use for ages 15-85. It worked well for everybody. This product is versatile for different users.1) Good quality.2) Easy to use.3) Effective in treating spot areas.4) Easy to clean.5) Durable.Cons:1) Some users with flexibility issues with arms may have some challenges using this product.

This back buddy is AMAZING. I ordered one because I have severe back issues with muscle spasms and 2 herniated discs in my lumbar region. I have terrible upper back and neck pain, along with muscles right behind my shoulder blades that like to spaz and act up.This thing has SAVED my back. I can never reach the muscles that hurt me the worst, but man oh man, this thing sure can. And it applies pressure in the correct areas where all my trigger points are. It is the BEST back tool I have ever used in my life! No joke! I am able to apply pressure to the problem areas and the spazzing will stop or that tight muscle gets worked out and I can go about my day, instead of being miserable and in pain all day from minor things like turning my head to the side--Which is ridiculous when you are trying to function daily.I have told all of my family and friends about how wonderful this tool is and they want one now too :D I will spread the gospel of Back Buddy until the day I die! lol

I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve been so impressed by this I had to tell how much I love it! I’ve had issues with my upper back and arm for over a year and after going through numerous MRI’s to try to find out what was going on and physical therapy I’ve still been battling these issues. My upper back and arm muscles have been so tight for so long I’d forgotten what it felt like for these areas to feel normal.I ordered this massage tool not really expecting that much but the first time I used it I was amazed! I used it on both sides of my back and the next day I felt my muscles were so much more relaxed. I’m continuing to use it daily and the issues I’ve fought for over a year are getting less every day and I finally see light at the end of the tunnel for my muscle problems!

This has so many different angles and positions of the "knobs" - it is amazing! I get instant relief on my back in hard to reach places. I would definitely recommend! Great quality too!

I normally don't give reviews until I have had a chance to use the product for at least 6 months however, in this instance there is no reason to wait. The Back Buddy has been a godsend.I workout at least 4-5 times a week with weights and cardio classes. Aches and pains come with the territory. With this tool I can finally reach those hard to target places.I've also had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and recently trigger finger release so I just don't have the finger strength to really work on my plantar fasciitis.With the back buddy I can target the heel of my feet without tiring my hands.Also great for targeting my glutes after a hard leg session.The Back Buddy comes with a chart but there is so much more you can do with it.I decided to go with the original back buddy for reliability in design and guarantee. Some of the knock offs had poor reviews for sharpness on edges. I didn't think it was worth the savings of £10.My back buddy does have a visible mould seam but it is smooth. Anyway it works better through thin clothing as you can glide it. I don't think it's as effective on bare skin.Give yourself some relief.

Very happy with purchase. Was told by physiotherapist last year that these things were available in the market. Until I had trigger point flaring up recently and going to a physiotherapist would be a chore task amid the Covid 19 restrictions. I looked for something and finally decided on the Body Back Buddy Elite, since it was going to be sent to the Asiapacific part of the world. No regrets. Very happy with it. Sort of replaces the physiotherapist for my trigger point issues!

It looks like a mutated seahorse but it works like a dream. Very sturdy and gets at the hard to reach spots for pain relief. Great product.

...if there is such a thing! This has helped through countless tension headaches, and sticky rotator cuffs, and extremely tight neck and shoulders. I thought it seemed pretty pricey for what looks like a piece of plastic, but it IS very sturdy and I have probably used most of the little knobs on it to get right into the sinewy bits. It really is a surprisingly useful little tool.
