I really liked this product as a way to drink water safely ...
I really liked this product as a way to drink water safely and minimise plastics wastes whilst travelling. I used it throughout India - both by drinking from the bottle itself, and by filtering water into another 1L disposable bottle so that I didn't have to repeatedly buy bottled drinks. The bottle was either filled directly from a bathroom tap, or from some of the 'filtered' water taps around various towns. I had absolutely no gastrointestinal upset throughout my 3.5 weeks travel. The product collapses nicely down to minimise its bulk for travel - much more so than many similar products on the market, is easy to drink from directly and you can decant water into bottles with reasonable ease (although this can be a bit slow as gravity lets the water drink out).My only problem with the bottle was that it quickly developed a small leak around the heat-seal in the bag where the cap connects (on day-1 of use). This meant that with a small amount of pressure I ended up with water throughout my bag, or when I switched to keeping it attached to outside my bag, occasionally a bit of pressure would lead to it leaking over me or travel-buddies when it accidentally got squashed between us in the back of a tuk-tuk. The system was still very usable however, just a little inconvenient! I reported this to the company on my return and they were incredibly helpful in investigating the leak - with the conclusion that this was a one-off problem caused by slightly too long on the heat-seal. They were kind enough to send a replacement product and so far this looks to be just fine and I can't produce any leak from the same areas, although I'll monitor this closely when I next put it into more intensive use.FYI - sometimes you get a little residual water inside the 'straw' of the filter - but the cap seems to do a really good job of stopping this from leaking anywhere, and the leak that I had was from elsewhere.Despite the issue with the initial product, I was incredibly impressed by the customer service that Brightbox offered - and their willingness to investigate why the product had failed, report back to me and immediately replace it for no cost. So fingers crossed the replacement is just fine - as I do really like both the concept and the design of this particular product.UPDATE: I used the replacement products on a 1 week trip to Morocco earlier this year - and had absolutely no problems at all with leaking. I'd highly recommend this product!

and use nozzle like a straw
I wanted a filter bottle for travelling, India, S.E. Asia, having used them before. This design is different from previous types I've used. I bought this design for its low footprint in my ruksak, it takes up almost no room, weighs nothing.Been using daily for over 2 months, no problems at all. I was dubious about the bag style, but it means you can squeeze the bag, and use nozzle like a straw, making it quicker. So far the bottle/bag is holding up well. Hoping it'll last at least the same again.I've been refilling from water jugs in cafes, which is probably OK to drink, but drinking it filtered adds extra peace of mind.

Very effective
Bought this for a trip to China where both the guide books and the locals suggest you don't drink the tap water. We used this to filter water from taps in hotels and public washrooms including some taps that were marked as not being drinking water and we had no problems at all - no upset stomachs even over a 2 week period.Because the bottle is flexible you can squeeze the water out and fill another bottle with it, the flow rate is a little bit slow but it works perfectly well. The only negative comment I'd make is that the colour on the bottle has broken off in a lot of places (I think the colouring in on the inside, which seems a bit strange) but this might be because we were squeezing it a lot as described above.Overall, well worth the money.

Useful.
I'm amending my review from the previous one as the company was right and I'm wrong. I said it wasn't a true 550ml and after testing it is. It just doesn't feel like it. I still have an issue with the filter taking up so much space that when empty it doesn't really fold down. Removing the filter doesn't really help as you have nowhere hygienic to keep it. However I was incorrect before it is 550ML and it does work.

I was extremely disappointed with this product
I was extremely disappointed with this product. I bought it for a two month trip to Nepal and India and it was punctured by something within my day pack on only the second day. I didn't have anything sharp in the bag. I managed to tape it up and get a few more days use, but for the rest of the trip had to buy bottled water. I was trying to avoid this expense and was also trying to be eco-friendly. I should have been more skeptical when this product arrived. It was packaged in flimsy wrapper with a 'Well Water' sticker stuck to it. When I opened it, it felt cheaply made, which it was.

The filter was great and really easy to drink through but would recommend getting the hard bottle as the flexible one started to split/wore quite quickly! But overall would use well water again!

The bottle came well packaged. I have used it throughout the week and I really like it. The filter is easy to suck and there is no aftertaste. I also like that there is a dust cover over the mouthpieces to protect against dust and dirt which most filter bottles don't have. The foldable design makes it lightweight and easy to pack. I like how I can disassemble the filter and bag so I can roll it up and tuck it away in my bag. The bottle is a must-have for anyone who enjoys camping, trecking or spending time outdoors.

Standout Quality
As someone who regularly ventures into the mountains for primitive camping, I really need a reliable product to filter my water. I have researched different filters, bottles, hand crank filters, etc., but this bottle seems to stand out. For the affordable price of $25, this is about as good as it gets. Some filters run as close to $100-$200 for "the best", however, I think that's a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and pick this thing up, its good quality and very reliable.

My son loves it!
It seems like I should of ordered a few more of these because my son is loving it. My son has been complaining about refilling his water bottle at summer camp at the bubbler and it tasting terrible. So I purchased this for him and he's loving it and I'm happy because he's drinking more water now. It also fits great in his backpack that's usually stuffed full with lunch, towel, bathing suit etc. We will definitely be investing in more of these!

The plastic “bottle” feels a little cheap. I also wish it was a little higher capacity. Have to refill constantly.
