Still looking over my shoulder.
I have read several of Tim Bowler's novels. I came across his books by accident, but what a happy accident! He has the natural talent of producing a novel that can be read by young and old alike. His last novel 'Night Runner' left me exhausted, breathless, and impatiently waiting for the release of his next book.I have just finished Game Changer, the kindle is still warm, and I am still buzzing.Tim Bowler has delivered a brilliantly executed plot , it engages the reader from the first page. The main character, Mickey, or mole as he is nicknamed, dragged me with him through everything he feared; open spaces, the light outside, and the perils of being seen. The story pulled me in to live every moment with Mickey, I saw the world through his eyes, I felt all of his emotions, and the same closeness to his younger sister, Meggie, as he did.Tim Bowler knows how to have us on edge all through the novel. I experienced the same sense of being in the story as I did in his previous novels. He has a natural skill of drawing out the plot to keep us guessing, whilst still keeping our attention alert. He drip feeds just the right measure of information needed to carry us through each page, keeping up the pace and suspense by avoiding the obvious clues, in order to keep the story gripping us until the very end. Even now I keep looking over my shoulder. Wonderful. That's what reading and good books are all about .

Really good
This book is very different and I really liked it, a bit childish at times which makes sense since the main character is practically still a child but I overall enjoyed it.

Dragged on for far too long in parts.
A bit dark for my liking. The book itself isn't as thick as the books I usually read, so I assumed the story would have been good. There was at least a chapter that repeated itself over and over, I got so frustrated when reading. It really didn't need to be there.Wouldn't read this again.

Present for grandson, so got no feedback on it, they are all nett receivers these days and show little gratitude.

The story touches delicate subjects like phobias, bullies and gangs but it does it in a very shallow manner. The writing is boring and the text is full of typos.

Lots of gaps in the logic of this thriller
Short book, which is nice, but the tension relies on some very odd behaviour and convenient choices by the characters.
