BEST OF THE BEST: Easy to sip & pour with great thermals & simple lid/spout design
We've had so many travel mugs, and this one is the best by far (we have both the 12 oz and 17oz versions). The Contigo alternative is great for sipping on the go and has a nice ceramic lining - just like the Kyocera - but cleaning that complicated lid mechanism is a pain and it is terrible at pouring out the beverage. The 12oz Kyocera is way smaller and lighter with only 50ml less capacity, but sips and pours perfectly, locks reliably, and IMO looks just as nice. The 17oz is not smaller, but still much lighter and has all the advantages of the smaller one. The Contigo is great if you only sip and never pour, but the pouring is too important for us - so it's Kyocera for us. The Kyocera is an xcellent product, totally worth $35.

Great Travel Mug with Ceramic Interior
I used the 18 ounce version of this cup for a couple of years and I really liked its utility. The screw-down lid is spill-proof if you don't overfill the cup. The lid lock feature is the best I have ever seen in a travel mug and I have owned and used literally dozens of travel mugs.I use a shared Keurig machine at work and my 18 ounce Kyocera mug did not fit underneath the Keurig dispenser. It was necessary to use a smaller mug to receive the pour and then transfer it into my 18 ounce mug. That's why I searched for a smaller version of the Kyocera mug. I was delighted to find this 12 ounce version of the ceramic coated Kyocera travel mug. The ceramic coating protects the taste of the coffee and aids heat retention. I consider this travel mug the best of the best and this is the one I carry with me each day. When I travel on long car trips, I load up both mugs and carry both of them in the car. Highly recommended.

There's room for improvement
Tired of your tea and coffee tasting like crap metal? This mug is lightly coated in ceramic on the inner layer and metal on the outer leyars preserving taste quality and keeping my drinks at a good temperature ALL day.My biggest issue in the design of the mug is that it's too small for my hand to fit and reach in and scrub it clean. the lid is... a little bulky and awkwardly placed to either your chin or nose end up touching some part of the lid as well. However, it is definitely leak-proof and I do love the wide-mouth design part. Also, it would be nice if it had a handle or carry loop to carry around and larger capacity options would be nice as well for different occasions.

Amazing
I dont leave many reviews, but I've been so impressed with this mug I felt it deserved it.- I'm shocked at how warm it keeps my coffee. (When I first got it I was burning my mouth A LOT because I was expecting it to have cooled already.)- I was skeptical because of the way the lid appeared in the pictures. I dont love having to open and close the lid when I take a sip, and the click of closing it probably annoys my neighbors at work, but I am sold on this design. Heat retention is amazing and I've never had a problem with leaking. (I've over filled it and got leaks, but I dont consider that a design flaw.)- I'm allergic to Nickel and Cobalt and wanted a cup that doesnt keep my coffee soakign in metal, the ceramic lining has held up flawlessly in the 4 months I've had it.-I am religious about my coffee mugs and I'm not sure I'll ever buy an alternative.

It will leak while it's sitting still on a counter
The good: It seemed sturdily constructed, and kept coffee and tea hotter for longer than any of the other countless travel mugs I've used. Why it's not worth buying: It's clearly designed to be a small thermos for pouring, not drinking, out of. If drinking, you'll be sticking your nose and chin into the lid and lock mechanisms. The mouth part of the lid is also shaped like a little bird bath. Great for pouring, not as great for drinking. The reason why it's in my trash can right now is because I got sick of the fact that it will leak hot coffee while it's sitting still on a desk. It's not overfilled, has no interior bits out of place, etc.

Keeps my coffee super hot for hours!
I chose this mug based on another awesome reviewer who compared temps of beverages in different tumblers over several hours. The volume was more than some others but the price made me a little reluctant. However, it is worth every penny! It is perfect for work where I can only run in and grab a few sips throughout the morning. It will still be warm 16 hours later! The lock on the lid is great. Just remember "open: up" and "close: down". I can throw it in a bag and not worry about it spilling. Completely leak proof. The only thing I don't like is I have the black version and the inside is black too which makes it hard to see how full it is before I add cream (or Baileys). I wish it was a white ceramic on the inside. Such a minor complaint but I had to provide something negative, right? Buy this mug-- you will love it.

Great lining and nice shape and size but bad design for drinking
I like this cup for its lining. The coffee tastes much better than from metal lined cups. But the latch is right where your mouth goes and it hits your lip. Terrible design.

Best travel container!
After trying several other brands this one was superior in every way coffee stays hot for several hours with no indication of heat on the outside of the cup and the lid seals with no leakage ceramic coating keeps coffee from having a metallic taste excellent product.

Kyocera ceramic coated tumbler
The look is nice. The hold is nice. The temperature maintenance is good for hours. Overall very satisfactory. The inner ceramic coating makes the coffee taste ori versus stainless steel. 👍🏻

Tampa incomoda, desconfortável...
A conservação Térmica é excelente mas o botão da trava encosta no lábio inferior, incomoda bastante. Comprem o outro modelo com tampa simples é muito melhor.

Perfect for untainted tea on the go
I’m a big tea lover and following a few stints with metal lined flasks the slightly tainted taste to my posh loose leaf really wasn’t... well, my cup of tea.I researched ceramic lined options with a good travel lid pretty hard and options are pretty limited here in the UK, so looked further afield and found this one. I was almost put off by the reviews stating the lid was terrible and I’m glad I wasn’t, sure it isn’t perfect but far from 1 star! This is a fantastic flask and has served me well in the few months of owning it so far, both in the car and my backpack while hiking/splitboarding. Tea has still been hot 4-5hrs after the brew, the ceramic lining does it’s job well regarding taste and the flask itself has held up well to bring thrown about (couple of scratches as expected).Cleaning to the bottom might involve a sponge pushed in with a spoon, but that’s no hardship. The lid cleans well and the spring seems robust enough.Highly recommended and worth the import tax if you’re outside the USA, I’m still yet to find something here in Europe of equivalent quality.
