Walnut Hollow Basswood Plank Medium with Live Edge Wood (Pack of 3) - for Wood Burning, Home Décor, and Rustic Weddings

Really impressed with the quality of my latest 6-pack of live edge plaques. All were well proportioned and all were clear of blemishes/discolorations. I am a chip carver and these are attributes that really make the projects so much easier to pattern and chip. Thanks Walnut Hollow!!

I received a very nice piece of Basswood. No knots, imperfections and very straight. I'm satisfied with what was sent. It's always a risk whenever you purchase on site unseen! Roll the dice. I did and scored.

I got these to make a wedding gift for a friend. They come already very smooth so there’s little to no sanding needed for prep. Super easy to paint or write on and the perfect size to make a little personalized sign. Great quality and all of them are similar sizes. Will purchase again in the future.

I wish I had taken a pic but I needed to get right onto the orders I had waiting. The wood itself was wonderful. A couple were not cut straight on the ends like they were slanted when being cut. My biggest problem was the packaging. Live edge bark is wonderful but fragile when shipped. I had a lot of breakage since they were just placed in a box with no packaging. Maybe bubble wrap or wrap them in craft paper to help from being bounced around during shipment (just a thought). The wood itself was great and they were shipped promptly and arrived quickly.

Very good quality, very minor natural imperfections, great product.

Edit: It's unfair of people to dock this company points for some pieces of wood being smaller than they expected. Wood is a natural product and being such it will vary in width and appearance from plank to plank. If you are buying in bulk, expect differences. If I am ever looking for a specific width, I will typically order 3 or more and usually always find exactly what I need among those that arrive.I have been using Walnut Hollow products for a few years now and will never buy Basswood from anyone else! The wood is always perfectly dry with none of the bark separating, and takes paint REALLY well. I use it specifically for my woodburning art. The price on this wood is right too, everyone should be buying this stuff! I particularly like how there is still a uniqueness to each piece as there should be with wood :) Every now and then I get lucky and get a piece that has curly figuring!

I ordered these boards for a wine and paint night with friends. Everyone loved them and kept asking where I got them. The we're gorgeous, sturdy, and perfect for our projects. I would definitely purchase again. With some pucture hooks these look so nice hanging on the wall during the holidays.

Sometimes I get a piece that has a lot of brown grain or a knot through it... but that's nature adding character ☺️ it's a tree it can't be perfect to you it's perfect for it. Since I started burning on this wood I don't wanna go back. Always smooth. Never cracked or broken. I even bought the 6 pack and was impressed with that too. Only 2 of the 3 pieces were usable... The other had 3 black 100 millimetre streeks one one side and 3 smaller streeks and 2 dark knots on the other. This tells me there is no quality control. Other than that the other 2 pieces were great.
