The best tasting decaffeinated coffee beans I've had - beats the cafes' decaffeinated coffee
Coffee Beans 227g Bag, Whole Bean Coffee, Colombian Decaf Coffee BeansEDIT 191223I was looking at getting more of this (I've purchased more in the past). However the price has increased by nearly 25% to over £10! However good the coffee is (and it's good), I'm not paying that price. I now need to look elsewhere for all future purchases of a different brand that is just as good.I probably have around seven standard cups of coffee a day, only two of these are caffeinated, the others are either Kenco instant or the Tassimo equivalent. I occasionally have a decaffeinated coffee in a cafe, but the taste is not as good as ordinary coffee. Likewise, decaffeinated coffee beans rarely have a satisfying taste.I don't drink black coffee, usually adding skimmed milk to it.I thought that I would give these Columbian decaffeinated beans a try, and I'm glad I did. When the bag was opened, out came this lovely aroma. The taste of the coffee was much better than previous decaffs I'd had. I then tried a small cup of black coffee and I was surprised how good the taste was compared to some black (ordinary or decaff) coffees I've tasted in the past. Not having much of a palate, I couldn't identify all the different flavours mentioned on the bag but there was definitely some different ones there.I think I will try drinking more of this coffee black, just to enjoy the taste better without milk. The price of the coffee beans is more expensive than generic shop-bought ones, but that is to be expected. For me, it is worth it to be able to have at least one decent cup of decaff a day. At about 25% cheaper, it is a more economical to buy the 1Kg bag of beans, but I may not get through them all within the advised time of three weeks from opening. We shall see! Meanwhile, there was about £1 off the 227g bags for a couple of days, so I ordered a couple of those to try out the coffee over a longer period.

Lovely tasting
Great tasting for filter coffee.I'm trying out a few different bags of decaf, and so far this is my favourite for a nice mellow coffee that's drinkable all day

Similar in price to other UK roasters, with a good flavour and EA decaffeinated.
All of my instant coffee is decaf these days, but up until recently I've held out on my whole coffee beans and pretty much always chosen caffeine. My partner bought me a little ceramic bean grinder for my birthday (which is great) and as a result of this I'm drinking more fresh coffee during the week, so I've been working my way through some different varieties. So here we are with, er... We Are branded coffee.I take my coffee with a little soy or hazelnut milk usually, and I don't often drink very strong black coffees. This is a nice, drinkable, Columbian. The beans look good and are fairly dark, the bean smell is good and has a lot of nutty, demarera qualities. It's not an overly powerful black coffee either, which for me is a good thing, and with a splash of milk I can taste cherry, smoky chocolate and caramel notes. It's a nice daily coffee. It's also worth noting this is Sugar Cane processed decaf, which essentially means the decaffeination process is made using ethyl acetate from sugar cane molasses. This is described as a "natural decaffeination" leaving more antioxidants in the bean and no residual chemicals.Although it's not a cheap brew by any means, I don't think this is any more expensive than other UK roasted decafs I've purchased recently. Packaging is nice too. 👍

Not a nice tasting coffee
Can't really say what this tasted like but it's not pleasant.Tried a fine grind and a course grind, but neither worked.Just tastes bland .

Good decaf option but too expensive per kilo
Coffee taste is very personal, i am always a bit cautious about trying new beans but i found these coffee beans to be lovely quality and taste very nice indeed. They are a 100% single source Arabica which are my favourite type of bean and come from Colombia, although roasted in the UK.Used in my bean to cup machine, absolutely no issue with using them, smells lovely in the bag and freshly ground even though they are medium roast and decaf they still have a deep and rich flavour, surprisingly good. I prefer a medium to dark roast coffee so on the strongest grind setting i got a satisfactory cup. This coffee is really pleasant, smooth and tasty with some mellow fruit & chocolate hints and low acidity.Small 227g bag which fills my machine up once and lasts us around a week or two, depending on consumption. This bag was £8.27 (at the time of order) which works out over £36 per kilo and over 3x what i usually pay so for me, the value is not good at all. The bulk pack works out slightly cheaper but at £25 per kilo, still about twice as much than what i usually pay. This is a nice coffee and great to have good decaf options which this is, i recommend it but i probably would only buy it again if the value was massively improved.
