Filofax A5 Malden Organiser - Ochre

There are some purchases that you have no doubts over. This is one of them. You know just by looking at it that it's going to last for years. Quality leather, very soft with only a very slight sheen and a good, no fuss colour which has a classic look. Great stitch work and a strong clasp. Inside left cover has a zipped section top to bottom, 6 generous sized card holders and a deep pocket. It came with lined paper, coloured paper, graph and plain paper, to do sheets, telephone contacts sheets, week to view diary with hourly appointments from 8am to 8pm, a plastic ruler and a clear plastic envelope (not zipped) but open at the top.

Soft backed filofax not stiff as a board like some. But it isn't padded leather either, so it is floppy.Beautifully crafted smooth leather in a classic Tan colour with cream coloured stitching. It oozes class and sophistication.It's like the walnut dashboard of a classic car.It has a pen loop on each side. Each loop is very narrow, so you will need very thin pens to fit.There is a zipped pouch on the front inside flap, ideal for storing pen refills or whatever you like.It also has the usual slotted bits for business cards etc.On the back flap inside is one large pocket - useful to keep a few spare note sheets or name and address sheets in.It comes with a clear plastic ruler as your book mark. Much nicer than the nasty black one that came with my previous [cheaper] filofax.Also supplied were 2015 diary pages.The diary pages were the column type ones with Mon, Tues and Wed on the left side and Thurs Fri and Sat/Sun on the right. Sat and Sun share a column. The other days have a full column for each one. I do not like it when Sat and Sun have to share space. I like each day to have a large space for it. Luckily I have diary pages already in my old filofax so I will get rid of the ones provided and use my existing ones.That's the beauty of filofaxes - they have standard sizes so A5 pages fit all A5 filofaxes.Also supplied are six divider cards numbered 1-6,a clear plastic wallet [A5 size] which you can move wherever you prefer it to be. I've got mine at the front to hold a list of all the Direct Debits that go out of my account every month. I find it very useful and these plastic wallets keep the front page of your filofax from getting tatty with the constant opening and closing.Also included....some 'to do' sheets,some lined paper in assorted colours,some checquered paper,some plain paper,8 'contacts' pages for listing your contacts and their details - which is not enough if you aren't transferring pages from an old filofax.And there are no a-z dividers either.So those buyers starting from scratch will need to buy some a-z's and some more contacts pages.This filofax is in the 80 quid range so it should come with everything you need. The omission of these pages is rather annoying, but the leather of this is such good quality and refill pages of all kinds are available easily, so I have only deducted one star to reflect the lack of inserts supplied.Overall this is a classy piece of leather crafted and well stitched into a very useful and practical tool.I wouldn't be without a filofax.And you do get what you pay for with them.So I am happy to pay this price for one that will last a lifetime.There are cheaper filofaxes out there but they do get tatty quickly so for me, they are false economy.

It is really expensive and I bought it in September and it came with 2019 pages which was a bit cheeky. Had to spend another £10 on 2020 pages. But the leather is soft and good quality. Bought as a present and the person loves it and uses it all the time. Very professional and smart looking

Perfect for work, I'm 'old school' and like to keep written notes, to do lists etc rather than electronic. This is my first A5 filofax and find it beter for work than the personal version. The quality of the leather is amazing and the colour is very classy. Lots of pockets to keep things in including a zip up one where I keep small change for coffees and a small memory stick. The best filofax I've every bought, well worth it.

Beautiful leather, will clearly last for years. At the price, one should expect at least a diary & a start up of contact pages, writing paper, plain paper, alphabetical & subject dividers etc., so a little disappointed. In addition my husband bought an identical organiser on Amazon from another supplier & his was delivered the next day without Prime. Mine took days to arrive

Disappointing - certainly not worth the money. Regret purchasing.

This is my 3rd Filofax, they last years and infact I just upgrade for a change rather than any other need as the quality is so good they last for years and have all the refils I need. This version does exceed expectations. It looked good online, the feedback looked good, the item is fantastic.

As an owner of a number of filofaxs, this is a beautiful leather filofax. A sumptous product that shouts out style. A softer leather, one that feels like a quality product to touch.On receiving mine, I filled it with everything i needed and got nothing but positive comments at work. Even those that don't use one!The cream paper really sets it off. I believe if you want a filofax for life, this could well be it.
