The Hobbit - PlayStation 2

I watched my two grand daughters play this game for years. I loved it. I always wished I could be able to play it myself. I had just never took the time. I find it helps me to relax, have fun, and pass a lot of time. It is addictive. I had to take the game to a shop because the very last step of the game kept freezing up on me. It would work, then, it wouldn't. It was aggravating. But, I still love this game. I had the game for way too long to expect Amazon to do anything about this problem. Since I was a new gamer(so to speak), it took me a long time to get to the last part. It doesn't now. And, it doesn't bother me that I don't get to finish. The best parts have already been played. I love this game. Thank you Amazon.

First of all, this game is HARD. There are a lot of sticky parts that will take several tries to get through. They have very faithfully recreated the Middle Earth that Tolkien envisioned (I think) and it is beautiful! The controls are pretty good, but its that platform style of game where you have to jump at the right time, right spot, that sort of thing so it is very tricky. There are also times where you must sneak to accomplish a goal and it takes a lot of concentration. If you want a game that takes you into Middle Earth and challenges the heck out you, this is the one. I highly recommend. Have a great day!

I think you need a strategy guide to help you through this one. I got hung up on the "Puzzles" very early in the game and ended up a bit exasperated with it, so took it out. If I get time, or can find one, I will have to get strategy guide or on line help with it.

I guess not too bad if you can pick up a cheap copy but could have been done a lot better. The camera angles get irritating, it's hard to judge distance and you spend a great deal of time falling, the combat system is weak. Pretty much you spend the entire time just running around collecting courage pts and coins when you aren't dying. It's not a game you can play along time without getting a headache......UPDATE! This game friggen sucks! Your hobbit is helpless, you have maybe 2 attacks and with the lack of depth and screwball camera angles it's impossible to fight. Despite the fact you have no dodges and every enemy in the game moves twice as fast as you. It's been along time since I've smashed a game but Better the game than my console!

This is a super fun game in my opinion. I played it a long time ago at a friends and loved it, so i ordered it for myself. It came in great shape and its still as fun as i remembered. Any hobbit fans out there i highly recommend playing this game.

I used to play this game on my PC and wanted to be able to play it also on my PS3. Thankfully I have a backwards-compatible PS3 that will play this game!Purchased this game for my daughter for Christmas and she is extremely happy!

Very underrated game. Loved this when it came out in '03 still playing in 2017. Cartoony look but the cut-scenes still hold up today. Great addition if you are a fan of the series.

Game was a bit disappointing and shipping was a bit slow.

I absolutely loved this game, one of the first Ps2 games I played back in the day. The game came in and honestly, it is perfect, no scratches, the case is in immaculate shape and the booklet looks like it was never touched! I am beyond happy with this purchase!
