I have been seeking an e-reader for some time. After thorough research and comparison with the Kindle, I opted for the Kobo. I appreciate its ability to fit comfortably in my inner jacket pocket. The color quality meets my expectations for an e-reader, and its lightweight design makes it hardly noticeable when carried. Reading on this device is very comfortable, closely resembling the experience of reading a physical book. In contrast to the Kindle, I can borrow books from my local library using my Kobo, which is a wonderful feature! Additionally, I enjoy the reading statistics it provides, such as the estimated time to complete a book based on my reading pace. This e-reader is an excellent choice, especially considering its affordability.

I have bought these for each of my younger kids (8 and 5). Their time spent reading has skyrocketed. Library integration allows me to add books to their devices easily and quickly without having to worry about returning books on time! I can load books before a long road trip and they are entertained for hours while exercising their brains. Color pictures make it so much more enjoyable for them to read. I love that there is no paying extra to avoid ads. Battery life is great. The size is perfect for the kids to be able to sit and hold comfortably for long stretches reading. Every member of our family has a color Kobo ereader (two of these and four Libra Colours for the older family members) and just about every day I find myself thinking what great purchases these were. I am hard pressed to come up with anything else that makes me think that so often.

My partner has been using this since Christmas and she loves it! A great competitor to the Kindle with far more open source support. 5/5 do recommend.

Love it! I switched from the Kindle after finding out I wouldn’t be able to download my books off it in the future. It works the same as the kindle, I really love how customizable the progress options are. I read in dark mode and it works great over here. Battery life has yet to be an issue. The only thing I wish was a little different… I can’t turn the page using one hand with the kobo, I can’t quite reach the corner for it to respond. Tiny complaint! Otherwise it’s been great.

My first e-reader! I have been quite skeptical about having an e-reader but so far i feel like i made a great choice. I decided to go with it as i love reading books on plants, flowers and sometimes even food recipes and this was the best+ cheapest option as i travel quite often. A device that is light, compact and colored. Also i live outside of USA. So easy to use other environment apart from Amazon. Transfer of pdfs from my computer is very easy. Have been using for a week now after my first recharge. So far so good but will come back with update after 3 months.

I was so excited about getting a color ereader but don't waste your money on this trash. THERE IS NO DARK MODE. You cannot set your menu to dark mode, you can only set your reading to dark mode. This is a horrible design flaw. I have light sensitive eyes so dark mode is a must for me as I often read at night in bed. If I navigate away from the page to pick another book, the menu can ONLY be displayed in light mode. You can enter developer settings to invert your colors as the only way to fix this BUT then all of your book covers are inverted as well. The only other option is to sideload other software to change your settings. It's ridiculous that an ereader has no option for a true dark mode on the device. Will be returning this asap.

Did a lot of research on this reader and was totally satisfied. It's kinda hard to read comics but asides from that, I have no complaints. The screen has ample size and the dark mode is adjustable to add more comfort at night.

Estoy muy satisfecho con el artículo, creo que es una compra que vale la pena. En mi caso tengo problemas de la vista y no soporto la luz de los devices tipo tablet, pero con la Kobo puedo pasar leyendo por un buen rato sin problemas.
