 I don't know what they did to this, but my cat is OBSESSED with this, particularly the primary attachment with the black and white feathers. He played with me for about 15 minutes, and when I put the toy away, he meowed at me for another 15. He has now LITERALLY learned how to open the drawer that I put the want and attachments into and is currently working on learning how to open a different drawer to get to it.

Edit: I previously posted a raving review of this product because my cats absolutely LOVE it. I purchased this toy a second time and again, they love love love it. But after about 15 minutes of play the end pulled off. I've attached a picture. It would cost more to return than the cost of the product. We still have one toy but should have two.

UPDATE #2: AT 7 mos now he chewed right through the fishing line in a split second. We were playing and I let it lay there to get the phone turned around and he had chomped right through the line. Gotta be super careful to put the toy up. UPDATE: Month later of daily hard play- Kitten LOVES this. He hears that bell and it's on. I don't yank on the pole so it's held up perfect to him. original review: I wedged it in the arm of the sofa and he's been keeping himself occupied for two hours. (Thank goodness Mommy needs a break from kitten krazy sometimes.) It bends just like a fishing pole and is assembled using fishing tackle. The line is thick and the fasteners are fairly sturdy. Will be easy to repair if needed. Happy with the value considering there are four different attachments.

 My cats love the assortment of feathers and toys on the end. I don't know if it's the Bell or the feathers or what, but my cats love this toy more than any of their other (more expensive) toys. Hours of cheap entertainment for me and them! It's also a great activity for indoor cats to stimulate their prey drive.

My cat absolutely adores this toy. I showed it away in a cabinet after I played with him for over an hour with it and he was scratching at the cabinet for me to take it back out.I have had no trouble with the durability of the rod this far, but have noted multiple reviews that say otherwise. It does bend a good bit to prevent snapping.The attachable feathers/worm that are included are variable enough to keep interest from my cat, though they are not extremely durable and he has mauled a couple already. Nevertheless, this is an affordable toy and replacement are easily available for low prices.

The cats are in LOVE with this. We got some feather stick thing at PetSmart awhile back that ended up costing like 15 bucks and they still destroyed it almost immediately. Liked this one because it's inexpensive and it comes with feather replacements. We have NOT been disappointed! They love the way this moves. It extends way farther out than we expected it to, so the pole is a good 3' long when extended. It's almost like a fishing pole but has a nice padded handle to hang onto. The "rope" is like fishing line, and that must make it move and/or sound different, because they are both crazy about it. The first one we tried (looks like the one on the bottom right of the pic) broke apart right away. However, I put a drop of glue on the inside, stuck the feather back in, and it has held tight since. We have tried several of the feathers and the cats go nuts for all of them. We keep it in a closet so they don't accidentally destroy it trying to play with it on their own, and they sit at the door and cry for it until we get it out and play with it. So glad we found this!!

I have spent so much money on toys and gadgets for Gizmo Snow over the past five years only to have her play with them once or twice or just walk away bored that I was extremely pleased that she seems to really like this one. However, I do not. It may be fine for a kitten, but a full grown cat? Not so much. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and can get quite rough. This is way too flimsy. The fish line is probably the lightest and when the wand extends it is not much thicker. I do like the variety of interchangeable feathers, however, they are very hard to change out. When this breaks, and it will, I will make one strong enough to stand up to my tigress. The price was cheap enough and Gizmo likes it that I gave it 3 stars instead of 2.

It's been a day and my cat is so in love with this toy with the little orange furry end. He's now taking it with him everywhere he goes. It's literally so adorable and he's so happy. I definitely recommend.
