The Divmystery Freshwater Spinning Reel is a great reel to own. I got the 1000 series as I wanted a lighter weight spinning reel for freshwater fish such as Bass, Walleye & Panfish. My ultralight reel makes for better fighting when you land a larger fish or even a smaller fish, depending on the type of rod & test line you're using.The reel I received is best with 6/lb. test & can hold up to 185 yards at this size test. You can go with higher test line but that would cut back on how much line your spool can hold.I highly recommend this reel as it has a cool color design compared to some of my other reels which are basic colors such as black, red & chrome. This reel features 9+1 Ball Bearings. The reel is lightweight & has an ultra-smooth casting capability. This reel comes with a 22lbs Max Drag, a 5.2:1 Gear Ratio, & mine came in a cool Sky-Blue color. The retrieve is for both left-handed & right-handed & can easily be adjusted. The reel also has instant anti-reverse so any fisherman can be successful using this reel, be it a novice or an experienced fisherman. It also has a very comfortable soft knob touch on the handle.All in all, I think this reel is a great value for the money, regardless of what type of reel you need, as it's available in many different sizes for fresh & saltwater fishing. The reel weighs slightly over 7 ounces.The reel is also tested to withstand over 7 K casts which IMO, is astounding!!!I highly recommend this reel & I'm giving this reel a complete 5-star recommendation.

First impression of this reel out of the box is that or feels like it should cost a lot more. It's metal in all the places you want it to be metal. I got the 2000 size and it is the same size as my okuma ceymar 30 size reel for comparison. Perfect for trout.The drag is smooth as can be without being carbon fiber discs. I was surprised to see the drag washers are already oiled up. Usually you will not see this on reels at this price range. There is also a rubber seal above the drag in the adjustment that should keep rain or splashes out of the internals. I wouldn't say it's waterproof, but this will definitely help in that direction. I have not even mentioned the color. This thing is pretty handsome looking. I need to find a rod that matches now. It looks so much better in person and definitely looks unique and should stand out from afar. Operation is very smooth and the bail wire is nice and thick as I like em. Opening the bail is nice and clicky. All in all I'm very happy with this reel. I look forward to buying another when the time comes.

I have three sons and a huge fan of basic budget spinning reels. My sweet spot is about the $35-$40 range, and with that I usually get full plastic frames and minimal bearings. The kids can't bird-nest them, and they haven't reached an age where anything fancier is needed. This Divmystery is not marketed as anything fancier than what I would normally get, but it performs on an entirely different level. It is swinging in the $60-$75 Penn range IMHO. 5 bearings, metal frame, buttery drag... It just has that feel of a different weight class. I had to keep this one for myself so the kids don't know what they are missing just yet, lol.

This review for the size 2000 reel with 225 yards of 6lb braided line capacity. This is a nice looking reel with lots of quality features. At a 5.2:1 gear ratio, this reel isn’t quite as fast as the 6+:1 units I prefer for lake fishing (panfish, bass, trout, etc.), but should give a nice feel for fighting those larger catfish which sometimes grab the lure. The return is butter-smooth, those 9 ball bearings do a great job.The reel has one bail return cam (to snap the bail back from casting to retrieving position) at the 9:00 position, viewed as if mounted on a rod. Depending on how much rotation of the handle you have before hitting the cam, it can be more difficult to snap the bail back into retrieve position than more expensive, higher quality reels. In fact, if you have no rotation at all before hitting the internal cam, it almost feels like the reel jammed. This is the only reason I withheld 1 star from an otherwise 5-star unit.

I don't know any fishermen that buy reels for their color, but if you are one of those, you cannot go wrong with this one! It has a nice finish to match any outfit when on a fishing date :)So far, I am very impressed by how smooth the movement is on the reel and it fits perfectly on my collapsible rod. I have not put it to the test yet, but looking at the construction and feeling the sturdiness, I believe this reel will last a long time with proper maintenance.

This Divmystery Spinning Reel, Freshwater Fishing Reels Spinning, 9+1 Ball Bearings reel- is very well- made and operates smoothly even before adding additional silicon lube to the parts. The bail starts out a little stiff, but the lube even helps that part to loosen up quickly. Seems very durable and the handle is easy to operate and control without much effort. I just received a new 7 ft rod and mounted this reel on it for next weekend's fishing trip here in the high country of AZ. and I will be using it to hopefully pull in some trout for a tasty fish fry. Very nice reel and worth twice the price! Great find!

This inexpensive reel is seriously impressive. I have many reels of varying price points and this reel stands out for only $34. It's very smooth, more so than anything close to this price range. The finish looks great and it feels solid. The anti reverse is immediate and has zero play. The drag is smooth like you would expect from a reel two times this price. Very impressed with this reel. Time will tell if it holds up but for now I am more than happy with the price and quality.
