Very Unique and Useful
I love this little video radio. I've taken it out on a few adventures recently and it's such a nice break from modern distracting, brain rotting technology. The radio reception isn't as good as my other standalone radio, but it's good enough and works. It's quite heavy, sturdy, easy to use, and has a large speaker that sounds decent and gets very loud. It's rather large, but I appreciate the bulk. It does not feel cheap. Bluetooth works well and is easy to connect. I store movies and TV shows on the SD card, along with music so I always have something to watch. The user interface is pretty basic, but it's easy enough to navigate and use. I use this thing all the time and really enjoy it. It's like having one of those old peotsboe TVs, but without the hassle of tubing into a station. The screen is either too dim and reflective in bright light, or too bright at night. Otherwise, it's a good looking display and is very watchable. I really like it.

Much better than expected
Hello my friends, greetings from Colombia. I have just receive this fantastic radio. I'm suprised to see how Chines people have dramatically improved the quality of their products. This radio looks like if was made by a high quality company like Sony. It has a beautiful finish with an extremely good performance. Naturally, it is not perfect. Perhaps the worst problem is that the colour quality of the image is not up to the high standards of the other functions. It is acceptable but as stated before. it could be better. Another flaw in my opinion is that it lacks the possibility of internet. It would be nice, for example, to be able to watch YouTube but the main feature of the apparatus which is a radio receiver, it works extremely well. Let me give you some findings. FM: Very good reception despite the fact that FM radio system has not been the best way to obtain high quality sound from any radio, mostly due to the fact that location of the receiver and antenna orientation is extremely critical.. AM. Tops!!! All stations are beautifully pulled by this radio with very good sound. and SW: Very good reception within the limts that this radio broadcasting system has. As a matter of fact, I didn't know there were still any SW stations after the popularity of Internet. So my opinion: Buy one, you'll love it. Reasonable priced, beautifully made and excellent performance. Congratulations and good luck to all from Bogotá. EDUARDO

Remarkably Good for the Cost
Overall, I found the value of the device to be exceptional for the cost. I'll do a pros/cons list:Pros:1.) Has decent reception for shortwave. It beats my old hand-crank emergency radio for reception, hands down. AM/FM reception is good as well. It has digital channel selection tools, but they're very granular and easy to dial in. The numberpad along the top is a very nice feature for flipping through SW once you get used to it.2.) It plays videos and audio files! I purchased it for this feature, as it's valuable for pre-packaged entertainment when the family is hunkered down for bad weather and streaming services are offline. The image quality is actually pretty decent. It's 720p, which at the scale of the screen (roughly 4.5" diagonal) is perfectly fine for my purposes. The screen produces a very bright image that is very legible in daytime and bright light.3.) Construction. It's plastic, but it's an attractive and weighty build; far better than I expected.4.) The sound quality is solid. Probably won't please an audiophile, but it sounds great for the cost.5.) The device easily charges via USB -C port, and you can load files onto it via USB or Micro SD.Cons:1.) The video player is a little finicky. It likes some files but won't play others. I don't know if it's a codec, filetype, or bitrate thing, but I haven't yet found a common denominator.2.) You can load text files into it for reading, but they have to be .txt, and it cuts off some of the text. I haven't yet attempted specialized file formatting to attempt to make it more legible, and there aren't real menu options for fixing this issue. This was a "nice to have, but not necessary" feature for me, but worth reporting on.3.) The device can play files from a microSD card or USB. I've noticed the USB port getting warm under continuous use during video playback. Something to observe.Laterals:1.) The device comes with 18650-type 3.7v batteries, and they're 1200mAh. That's very much on the low end of the capacity for this kind of battery, and you might consider replacing them with something with more milliamp-hours. This was likely done to save on costs. That said, the device has competent operational duration even when running videos, but I wanted to identify an easy upgrade.2.) The menus are a little clunky and dated-looking, but they're perfectly functional. It has issues, but given the cost I'm completely blown away by the value-- at time of writing, I got the unit for right at $42.00 USD. I love the device, it has a very professional look and solid functionality.

Unique feature: great Audio/Video playback of MP4 files from Micro SD
Worked great when tested with AM, FM, and a nice, unique feature: Audio/Video playback of MP4 files from Micro SD card. Playback of 720p and 1080p video files looks good and sharp. Has (3) 18650 rechargeable batteries connected in parallel so should play a long time. One slight annoyance, when you use the mechanical slide switch to turn it back on, it does not remember what band you had it on last time and defaults to Video. However, the mechanical slide switch should help prolong battery life. Also the antenna gets in the way of turning one of the knobs on the top, but easily remedied by tilting the antenna up a bit for easier access to the knob.

Not perfect but what can it do well????
The unit is fairly study in its construction and has the typical C port for easy charging of the batteries. It is not great in its ability to receive airwave signals for AM, FM or SW and I wish that they would have eliminated it completely. However, it was a good little 720 screen and microchip slot for what they say is up to a 128 gb card. Videos is what it excels at and I modded the formats to 1/2 standard resolution and that would well for most of the videos viewed. Using a 64 gb microchip, I was able to load 50 videos including full length movies and used 3300 mah batteries for an outstanding 8 to 12 hours of run time. To protect the screen , I applied a liquid screen saver that I'm hoping is working. Volume is adequate and is ideal for commuting or being taken on an outdoor trip.Nuff said.
