not messy, very fun
My kids loved it and have played with it many times, I like that its not messy and easy to store. It's also reusable. I didn't like that the pens are difficult to open and it was smaller than pictured

not worth it
i have ordred this water doodle mat for my 18 montha old daughter. mat is of poor quality. and the pens where we need to fill with water to write on the mat was leaking water.

Can’t use pens so kind of pointless buy as that’s what they mainly will use
So got this as a present and my daughter was really excited to play with it but I found the pens rubbish and they would not open up to put water in and when I got one open I could not get it to close back on again. I have had to use pliers in the end to open the other pens but can’t get the lids back on. Only thing that easy to get the lid off was the brush but that leaked all over. Utter rubbish! Don’t buy
