Overall good seat mount
Good seat mount but just a heads up it does have play in it, the play made me decide to not use it for the captains seat but I did use it for the passenger seats

Needed to lower my boat seats
I needed to lower the seat height for my passengers on my boat. This worked great.

Don't like the swivel lock?
They handle and locking mechanism are easy to remove. Just break the handle off and use a utility knife to make a couple small cuts in the plastic to remove the mechanism. Now you have the swivel seat with no lock. At least for the front seat. Much better. Otherwise it will automatically lock in front position as you swivel around.

Easy enough install
*TLDR = nice 3 parts package; base, removable tube, locking swivel seat holder. No hardware.So I bought this to go on my 1701CC, because it didn’t had a seat on the front. This does and have everything you need (almost) to get going. BUT, it was missing (at least in my case) the installation hardware for the base.No big deal for me, but it’s worth mentioning.In the package, you have the base, which is painted metal, the removable post made of aluminium and the swivel seat base that lock in one position, that’s also painted metal.It did attach to the seat I had easily, my 4th grader was with me and I let her do the job. Job well done in the end.The locking mechanism of the swivel base could be stronger I believe, because the handle flex every time you want to disengage the lock. Not sure about durability on that.Other than that, 1/3 of the price of the closest boat shop, for the same thing.I hope I won’t need this again, but if I do, I’ll go back to that one.
