Heaven in a Microwave-safe Cup
Never in my life have I ever considered myself a fan of dehydrated food; maybe for camping? But certainly not for any meal I could easily make fresh. That said: I am a BIG FAN of Ahana's Vegan Masala Khichadi; this is my go-to travel lunch, especially when I go in to work. The spices are perfect, it's filling all on its own, and the quality is just unmatched. My own khichadi isn't anywhere near as tasty as this one is; it's heaven in a little microwave safe cup.Pro tip--I use hot water (from a kettle), let it sit, then still microwave for an extra 40 seconds; it helps soften the green peas a bit more than just using hot water. I also add slightly more water than the recommended level. Also, I didn't love the other flavors as much as I love the khichadi. Also worth mentioning: they have great customer service. I wrote to ask about a recent change in ingredients, which I like BETTER, and to suggest that they ditch the travel spoon. The response I received was fast and thoughtful, with all my questions addressed.

Good taste but sometimes find super hard grain or substance I gotta spit out
These taste great but every other one I try I find a few tiny super hard grains or substance I gotta spit out. I've added the right amount of water and let it sit for 10min+ so it's not that. The little hard grains feel like sand/rock, look yellow, might be a part of a bean that just can't get soft. Either way I'd give them a 3-star cause it's good ingredients and taste but not always the most enjoyable to eat.

Perfect for my fast paced life
I’ve recently discovered Aahana’s and it has become a must have at our pantry. During my work day, I just grab one and my lunch is ready in minutes. And the flavors taste awesome. Most importantly, they are healthy also. I’m a big fan now.

My new favorite to-go comfort food!
I always crave for a home cooked meal after a long day at work. Just thought I’d give this a shot, since khichdi is my favorite comfort food. Although it is not exactly like my mom makes it, I would still call it close. I just turned vegan a few years ago and have never come across a convenient shelf stable ready to eat food which taste as normal food that you can eat everyday. I loved the khichdis, each one is so different and unique, that you can’t get bored of it. But I wish there was one more variety, which is my favorite, that is a plain simple khichdi. No vegetables or any spices. Just plain simple lentil and rice mix. Aahana’s, please consider introducing them and you shall have one permanent customer!!I was raised in a family where we always were given herbs and spices from our kitchen for any ailments that we may get. Basically, my mom always believed in Ayurveda science. That is also another added benefit. It is a totally feel good comfort food. Very reasonably priced for all the organic ingredients and ayurvedic spices used.

Overpriced, healthier version of Cup of Noodles
At about $5 each, they are very overpriced compared to 50 cents each, for Cup of Noodles, on Amazon. I had them delivered to a hotel and was staying at for an out of town specialist. I used the coffee maker for hot water. They are much healthier than their computation but, cost 10 times as much. The taste would be improved with sesame oil and fresh herbs. There was also an Amazon Go about a 15 minute walk away. I could purchase freshly made sandwiches for under $10.

Tasted like chemicals were in one of the items
One of the containers tasted very strange, as if chemicals were in it. When heated, the product also produced a strange odor. I tossed the product in the trash worried it would make me sick.
