Accurate results for car audio tuning
Used to tune the audio in my car, I'm very happy with the results. Build quality and materials are also excellent. Seems to be solid aluminium.

Dayton Audio comparison ISemCon
This is a pretty good microphone to use for home or vehicle. The only downfall is the size of the microphone and the calibration file from Dayton doesnt work on SMAART unless you alter their calibration file. I setup (FS -20 @ 94db) and compared it to one of my ISemCon microphone with 85db, pink noise, and it came relatively close. Then I created a calibration file myself using my ISemCon as reference. It's definitely worth it, if you are using it for home or car. I wouldn't use this on the field to calibrate a large room, I'd probably use it only for SPLs and to keep RTA running at Front of House. 4/5 score mainly for the size of the microphone. Performance is great

Makes room correcting speakers a breeze.
I've used this for room correction on multiple systems. Love the hard case and included mic stand clip. I'm a big fan of DIRAC and desktop room correction. The improvement is undeniable. Everyone with a desktop 2.1 speaker setup should own one. REW and EQ APO are a must.

Great calibration mic, at least for this novice user
I bought this mic about year ago when I bought a new SUV and upgraded the stereo. I used free software on my laptop to make measurements and adjustments to the EQ and amp. I now have the best sounding car stereo I have ever owned. Because I'm just using the 13 band EQ built in my stereo, I couldn't get it perfectly flat, but it's fairly close. I could really see where the frequency dips were and compensated for them.To get the calibration compensation data, all you have to do is go to their website and type in the serial number. I kept a copy on my computer in case the company ever goes out of business (unlikely, but better safe than sorry). They say you should get it re-tested every 5 years, but I doubt it would change significantly enough to be worth getting re-tested unless you are a professional.

I'd give it 5 but the foil cal fell off easily suggesting cheap manufacturing
After Calibration this mic performed nearly exactly the same as our B&K 1/4" mics in an anechoic chamber. Measurement made with Fuzz measure. I'd give it 5 but the foil cal fell off easily suggesting cheap manufacturing.
