Fresh Caimito (Star Apple) 2lb

packaging was good but product not so good. After a day, the fruit started to grow mold on the skin. I had to throw out one of them.

I grew up in Asia and ate this fruit a zillion times. After living for 30 years in US, I was so happy to find a place that sells it. It was costly but I really wanted it so I spent the money. They arrived and they didn't look good at all. The skin was wrinkled and the fruits were hard as a rock. A few had mold on them and started to rot. I was able to cut 2 to try and they were tasteless. Not at all like when I ate them before. I don't recommend this product to anybody.

Fruit met expectations and was fresh and tasty. A bit expensive, was $11/fruit. Would have preferred a larger quantity to offset shipping costs.

They were half rotted when I got them and the few that weren't didn't taste very good.

I waited years to try these. Supposed to be amazing, but tastes EXACTLY like a scuppernong grape of which I was raised on. The irony..

They were good went from green to grainy and never very sweet. I think it is the problem of mailing produce-- well sent, well packages, wonderful company

Out of all the ones which I received, only one was edible. The rest were green and one arrived broken open. The green ones never ripened. The purchase price was refunded. However, I was extremely disappointed in the product and the sellers since I never expected them to send me inedible fruits.

I was surprise when they have this back in stock, since I did some research about this fruit I really want to get a taste of it, so I order 2lb and give it a try. When I receive the package I was full of excitement I open immediately, I take one out and cut it open and there nothing I see look familiar from the internet. The fruit was hard like an apple and the milky juice taste bitter and glue like texture the whole thing was inedible. So, I thought may be its not ripe yet, and I let it sit for a few day. There's one turn from green to a little pink and lighter green, but the fruit look dry up and hard look totally different when I first got it. Well let give it another shot, and this time it's a little bit better than the first because there some soft part in the middle where the seed is, but still have this glue taste texture and you can't spoon it out like the video which show in the internet. So, I contact some people who grow caimito fruit on the web and they told you need to pick it when it's fully ripe. So, I think it's the seller who pick it when it is not even ripe, and all they're doing was just try to earn profit and don't even care about their product quality. Anyway I will not buy it from them again since I had a bad experience with them, and I would not recommend other to buy as well.
